Would be funny if they just put a sticker over the X in Metrolinx to become Metrolink 😂
The primary reason Metrolink switched to the Hyundai cars was the poor performance of the Bombardier Bi Levels in the Chatsworth crash.
I forgot to mention that, which would segue into Bombarider (now Alstom) developing the CEM coach & cab car
False. The purpose was to blame the cars so no one would look closer. The problem is the new signal towers, which have fixed platforms that function like teeth in front of the signals. The tower bent and caused the teeth platforms to tear open the top level of one car, the location of most of the casualties. No car can withstand this kind of punishment.
0:05 me vibin' to this right now
The bi Level was use in Chicago under the Chicago North Western then everyone else followed!
It’s called the row-tem and Metrolink chose Hun-die for cab cars because of some crash that was bad and they thought that the Bombardiers are non CEM and you can find blueprints and search up stuff about the rotems that I’m not going to explain the full thing right now, but in a nutshell, they chose CEM cars with a gutted out nose
The crash happened way before Bombardier considered utilizing Crash Energy Management systems
My mic broke so i'm using my laptop mic (you probably can't tell)
It’s functional, I enjoyed the video regardless.
Metrolink have 5 f59phrs Plus two f59ph switchers
Actually, 851 and 870 don't switch
