Thanks for your this video. It is in fact more informative. But when is it necessary to neglect or release torsional moment? Is it incase O/S #45 when occur during design?
master structural engineering concepts first before mastery of software. When a beam is overstressed due to torsion and it has a slab it is supporting, we can release the beam not to take torsion and transfer the torsional forces to the slab. So the slab will have more reinforcement and maintain the smaller beam. it is a trade off. Do you want bigger beam or more bars in beam or in slab? choose. If there is no counter weight on the opposite side, to counter torsion (twisting) of the beam, you cannot release torsion.
Sir what should be used for torsional modifiers is it 0.01 or 0.001
