I learned english by watching tv with subtitles since I was little. E poi ho studiato l'italiano per due anni.... ma fu più da dieci anni fa. Per me l'ascolto e la pronuncia sono molto facile ma scrivere... I learned how to write in english in college and I have bad spelling but I can imitate accents and sounds with no mayor problem. The problem is I want to become a translator and for that I must write well. Cosa mi consigli? Mi lengua madre es el español y hasta en esa cometo errores de ortografía.... :(
lots of reading and writing in the target language. not just hearing, which is most of what you did. you could read books that interest you in English, for example, and then keep a journal where you write in English. This advice is a bit late, but better late than never :D

Dear Mr. Lampariello, I am currently learning french and I was wondering if it is only essential to listen and read simultaneously during the early stages when trying to develop a native accent or would it be beneficial to read and listen to french text simultaneously everytime I read in french?
@poliglotta80 visto che ci sei, volevo chiederti un'altra cosa: so per esperienza che uno dei segreti per parlare bene e fluentemente una lingua è pensare in quella lingua, come fai tu a passare cosi facilmente a PENSARE nella lingua in cui stai parlando senza invece (come fanno tutti) tentare di tradurre dall'italiano? Usi una tecnica particolare?
