I’ve fallen in love with Led Zeppelin songs only recently thanks to all these reaction videos. I’ve heard some of their songs on radio when growing up but never paid much attention as I had different interests in music. I really don’t know why I never got to listen to them more. I had huge collection of music when growing up but Zeppelin somehow had escaped me. I’m glad I’m discovering them now and it’s just amazing. No other band was/ is like them.
One of the many things I love about this song is the acoustic guitar that remains throughout, even under the electric. You're correct, John Bonham isn't using his regular drum kit and it is speculated what he used from his knees, to a garbage can, a chair seat, and other things, but the story I've most often heard is its a guitar case. It isn't a flute but Jimmy using the neck pickup on his Les Paul with the treble cut and using a sustain-producing effects unit. Living in the "now" is one of the most difficult things to do and I find it a constant challenge to find the balance between focusing on now and to also think beyond my nose so I see the larger picture.

Love this song and the LOTR references. I know you don’t take song suggestions from comments but I want to recommend an author to you as you have only recently started reading. Author is Raymond E Feist. The book - the first in a huge series of books - is called Magician. In the US, and maybe some other countries, it is often split into two smaller books called Magicians Apprentice and Magicians Master.

Jimmy Page once explained that he achieved the smooth, sustaining violin-like tone on the solo by using the neck pickup on his Les Paul with the treble cut and utilizing a sustain-producing effects unit built by audio engineer Roger Mayer.
The 2007 reunion (with Jason Bonham, John's son, on drums) was the first and only time Led Zeppelin played this song live, in it's entirety.
