Bhansali is confusing Lahore with Hyderabad, Ouadh or Lucknow. Lahore has always been a Punjabi city. You guys are totally ignorant about Pakistani regions, its race, culture, languages, geography and ethnic make up. Please stick to subjects that pertain to India. Pakistani regions were part of British created India for less than 100 years, in its over 5000 years of history. Bharat is a lie concocted by Vivkenanda, Gwaliar, Arya Smaj, RSS etc schools of thought , in late 1800's. Under which all regions under British rule were hallucinated as one ancient Bharat that never existed. lol. No European, Russian, isreali, Japanese scholar, historian has ever verified the existent of Bharat. The term India was creation of Europeans for South Asian regions just like they created the word AFrica.
It seems like Sanjay ne apni budsurraat neice ko promote kerne ke liya Netflix ko loot liya hai.

@@sabrinakhan8217 ‘Pakistani culture’? Are you delusional? You can’t have it both ways. If you say India as a concept is concocted, then how do u say Pakistan isn’t? Come on, at-least be consistent with your logic. And what do u mean ‘you guys’? Bhansali koi representative nahi hai ek pure culture ka. Many of us are at least interested in learning about other people.

I think Bhansali should become an painter rather than a story teller. His love for opulence, grandeur, beauty and aesthetics consumes the story. The series bleeds with beauty but never comes even close to plucking your heart's strings like a Devdas or Begum Jaan does.

Boring series I didn't expect this magicless screenplay from Bansali. Few starting & last episodes are okay. Rest just boring conversations.emotions not captured ..the main love story completely failed no felling.. the music is not at all good which trademark of Bansali. the visuals are very impressive but how long we can watch it.

So good! Love the entire series. Everyone in the cast did a great job, but Sonakshi and Manisha truly stole the show with her captivating performance. The songs were enchanting, the costumes were exquisite, and the cinematography was breathtaking. Congratulations to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the entire team for crafting such a mesmerizing cinematic experience.

This is my feedback, sorry it’s a long one. Usually with series you get invested in the characters and the story line keeps you on the edge of your seat but not in this case. Lot’s of hard work and it beautifully made but it doesn’t hold your interest for too long. It should have been made as a 2 hour movie. Music is fine, I have all the songs but none of them stands out. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The outfits and palace like setting was very beautiful but I wondered if courtesans could really afford this much. Overall, it was a treat to watch (except for those scenes featuring Alamzeb!!!).

Agree with most of this review, except I thought the Sonakshi was really bloody good. Her expressions were on point and she really brought it home for me. Also Sharmin was good imho, she is a new actor and has limited experience, but I liked her in the movie. Farida Jalal was so delightful. Bhansali is really the man though, he really has an amazing vision and there is something to find in every scene, treasures that you really have to watch properly to watch.

i loved it till the 6th episodes. I felt the freedom fighting narrative could be avoided and it could have focused more on Fareedan's backstory.
I usually watch in the original language but due to too much Urdu I switched to Tamil and the dubbing is ammmazing. Rohini for Manisha and Deepa Venkat for Sonakshi simply made it worth watching 🔥
Even the dialogues are so good esp the shayaris are written with rhyming words in the dubbing as well.
Sharmin is a major drawback for me. Also I felt SLB could have cast Rekha in a role or at least made the actresses playing courtesans watch Rekha's Umrao Jaan to learn those bewitching looks and attitude and also to dance with such grace and elegance ❤

Even the streaming space seems to be cannibalised by these overrated theatrical directors like Shetty and Bhansali. This should stop. They will pollute this space also.

Bro, the ott platform wants the crap shit . Many directors around india are rejected the reason being not popular actor , not over the top film ,they just want safe generic shit . When netflix launched new shows of trailers for the year, it was only bollywood and 1 telugu show, which is copied. They are racist to some regions as well.

Wish there was a more compelling story, screenplay and something different. Not every Bhansali movie has to be a Ghazal

It has become too much of bhansali just copy pasting things from MKs movies, the opulence is absolutely out of place, the characters and their arc were not well thought out, had abrupt twists and change of hearts. Manisha did well, but was again forced to modulate her voice in Rekha's pitch, Sharmin was absolutely hopeless.
