Gently guiding the puck into the net was the most passive way Hischier could've ended that.
The issue is that the game is already over, not the fact he put the puck in the net. If you watch again, you can see the game was clearly already over and the horn had gone. I am not saying it's justified, but that's one of those unwritten rules where you will probably get a reaction out of the other team.
