  • It has been a good bit of time since I last did a video on my kei truck. So I figured it was time to bring it back on for a short video and update on how it has been doing.

I think you have the 4 speed transmission. If so, how is it on the highway at 55?

I have the 5 speed, and 50 it seems happy at and can do all day, 55-60 it is a bit buzzy but it will do it fine I just personally wouldn’t do it for extended amount of time like short jaunts on highway are ok

I always find new ways to use my Kei Truck. They are super utility vehicles - and get much better MPG than my actual truck. Absolutely LOVE that steering wheel

People tend to not talk much about a reliable vehicle because that's boring. "Yeah so, 6000 miles no issues!" vs. "This piece of crap Ford makes me want to run it off a cliff, always being a drama queen!" lol. I will probably get me a kei van with AC because I don't really have a need for a truck bed, but I love dependable vehicles. What has shocked me is how dependable my current daily driver has been. Almost a decade of driving with literally two issues. Of course, it's branded Chevy, was built in Canada, and the drivetrain is all Suzuki lol. Every drama queen vehicle I've ever had has been a Ford.

Where did you get your left visor? Where did you get your grab handles? Where would I get a replacement radio aerial?

Since you are a fellow Marylander I have to ask about your plates. Are you using historic tags? I am about to get one and plan to daily it as well. Didn't know if you had any luck getting real tags for it or you just run around with historics.

I am using historic plates and haven’t had any hassles about it as my daily. Tbh I didn’t even want to try and get normal plates.

@@pitbikemike same here. I just want to get historics and drive it. Was it a hassle or fairly straight forward?

I went to tag and title place and let them deal with it, cause it doesn’t have a normal length vin like other vehicles. So from my point of view it was easy lol
