Thanks for posting the complete series. I loved this show as a kid.
The show wasn't the same after Stephanie left - their chemistry made the show for me. Thankfully she was there through season 6 😊
Stepfanie

Great Show in the 80's.
My favorite episode
McCall just casually firing a massive shotgun on the streets of LA in broad daylight. Wildin'.
The SPAS 12!
Direct hit to the tailgate, pick up truck explodes and launches into the air....love the 80's
Can't believe they cut 'Sympathy for the Devil' out as the main song for this episode. Guess they didn't want to continue to pay for the rights.
Absolutely true. That's what made this episode.
I knew it wasn’t just my imagination. That song used to be in this episode. Oops, that was by the Temptations.
I never watched the show when it was new, but I've been binge-watching it now for the past week or so. I just happened to catch a few minutes of this episode, back in '84. Funny, how I remembered it one way, but it was actually quite different. I guess 38 years would do that to a guy's memory.
I was falling in love Stephanie Kramer when I was at in high school. I remember that me and my father had watched this episode in 1991 and impressed with motorcycle scenes. It was good times and I miss my deceased father. I have just remembered him when I saw this episode right now.😔
I never knew early to mid 70s dodge ram tailgates were so explosive lmao I love this show
Made by Pinto :)
Thanks for sharing. Watched an excellent episode. Thanks from India
😂😂😂 I am more of a man than you will ever be and more of a woman you will ever get, that laugh from DeeDee at the end
This is one of the best episodes of Hunter ever. Stephanie is a babe!
This is almost as crazy as Chips
A great show. One episode was shot in my apartment. No I was not a criminal being chased. Movies are not reality. It's only a movie!
Very cool! 👍
In your apartment or in your apartment complex? ;D
That's so cool
This ain't a movie, it's a TV show.
It’s not a movie it’s a tv series but when your claim to fame is a couple of seconds was filmed in your apartment I can see how you made a mistake.
I was surprised to learn that Robert Dryer, the villain, died at 69.
It works for me
Anak ilang dijemput pak buk😊
women back then were so much hotter
Agreed. It was the big hair and shoulder pads. And the actresses didn't have work done on their lips to look like catfish lips.
"When is this country going to ban silicone bullets?"
- Interesting tidbit: The idea that 'silicone coated bullets' or, more usually seen in fiction, 'teflon coated bullets', being able to penetrate body armor arises from a media misreading of a study on police issued ammo issued to police in the 60s (I think that was the decade).
Standard lead .38 special would have trouble effectively penetrating auto glass windshields when fired from the issued sidearm. To increase penetration and reduce deformation, they tried using bullets made of brass. I'm not sure how well that worked for them, but what they DID discover is that a brass projectile is VERY hard on the steel barrel. To get around this they tried coating the bullet in teflon, in order to reduce the friction on the rifling during firing. The whole experiment was abandoned in the end (as evidenced by the fact that no police department issues them).
However the media seized on this 'coating' part of it as being what increased penetration, hence the brief public outcry at the time by people who didn't understand firearms. This same theme cropped up again in Lethal Weapon 3, I believe, as well as being mentioned in other later movies like Ronin.
In reality what makes a bullet pierce armor is speed and what the bullet is actually make of, not coated or incased in. Modern AP rounds consist of cores of either steel or even tungsten surrounded by lead or copper and travel at very high velocity.
Sounds like you know your stuff, are you in this type of work in some way?
@@BrianKitching-wv5nh no, but I've studied it a lot and been reloading for about 10 years.
If you'd like to see how actual AP rounds for civilians are being designed, look up "Atlas Arms Dagny Dagger" here on CZcams.
@@BrianKitching-wv5nh No, it was just something I read up on years back when I went down a rabbit hole. "Teflon coated bullets" were also one of the few things that would penetrate the aliens' armor in the TV show "V" if I remember correctly as well.
Awesome. Ya beat me by a year, and you did a great job.
Good episode. And a young Shawn Weatherly was in it.
Where was Shawn Weatherly?
Shawn Weatherly was in Baywatch as Jill Riley.
43:30 Fast & Furious vibes. Bikes going under the truck... they needed the stunt master from F&F where that same stunt, but successful, won a Taurus award!
Love the Columbo reference... 27:19
The original version of this episode opened with Gimme Shelter by The Rolling Stones. Why did they change it to a song that came out over a decade after the original airing?
No, it was "Sympathy for the Devil'
Thankyou for these.I adored Stepfanie Kramer she was very believable as Dee Dee Mc Call.
45:31 Everyone's reactions from that! 😆
Bernie: 😑 "Rly?"
Hunter: 🤨 "Wtf?"
McCall: 🙂 "I totally saw nothing."
They changed McCall's husband's back story. Here he was a motorcycle cop who was killed during a traffic stop.
In a later episode, "Requiem for Sergeant McCall," he was a plainclothes detective and was shot behind a bar by someone who was waiting for him.
The backstory of this episode matches an earlier episode where McCall recalls how her husband died to Hunter when he sees a photo of him at Dee Dee's place.
@@thewilliammao Aha! Sort of back stories to fit the narrative of a given episode. Sounds like the writers were politicians in an earlier life. 😁
Well, it sounds like she is the Black Widow. Those are the two guys we know about. She's also very uncomfortable when her victims leave messages on her answering machine. Also her license plate changes... she's brilliant.
@@Sammasambuddha Leaving a long trail of dead husbands behind her. Reminds me of an old Shirley McLaine film. 😁
Biker , no boots no gloves .
Hunter settled the score for the killing of Mc Call's husband in line of duty.
When I was in high school I went to a weird Christian school that told us that it was alright to watch the dukes of hazard and the A team were fine because no one ever got killed but hunter was banned so naturally it was watched by everyone each week with the parents who loved it as well. Is it just me or does anyone else think Dee Dee looks and sounds like an 80,s version of Debra from everybody loves Raymond? Love the soundtrack to this episode all great 80,s stuff .
"...does anyone else think Dee Dee looks and sounds like an 80,s version of Debra from everybody loves Raymond?" Yup, same here! Good observation. I had a huge crush on Stepfanie Kramer; gorgeous, sexy woman!
Well done as usual F and S ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Makes me feel old till I was in hospital recently and over
Heard the guy in the next bed give his age and he replied 50 and a half. I told him that the last time I heard someone say and a half was a little girl who corrected me with and a half when I said 6 and when I looked at her she had her arms crossed and stomped her foot and a look of get it right on her face. Gotta love seeing the determination of young kid’s before they hit High school and turn into complete assholes with no respect. And don’t get me started on teenage kiwis. A bag of hammers has a higher IQ than most islander’s.
Do you know what song that is?
I remember they played the Rolling Stones in this episode. Why the change.?
Licensing would be my guess.
11:59 It's Ponch's girlfriend on Chips. Thought she was glamorous as a kid. Love her in Blood In Blood Out.. well, in all her work (Jenny Gago). Miss old music & last episode I didnt hear "It works for me." Boo! Love this show still!!!
Dukat is in this episode as well.
I thought I was watching Ghost Rider for a few moments there.
Cool motorcycle Chase and crash. Don't think anyone could survive that one though. I know it's just a show.
That Honda Nighthawk 700 is rocking ! Looks to be a 1986 model but i could be wrong
It's funny the way Dee Dee fights crime all made up and in hi heels 😊
I love all those 1980's leather jackets, they were very stylish in the 80's. My favourite is Michael Knight 's from Knight Rider.
Anyone notice how the audio switches to Living Stereo power metal from 00:00:32 to 00:00:37? Our industrious uploader must have fixed an egregious dropout for us! That's what I call SERVICE! It's what brought me to these comments.
I love this show! I used to watch it with my Dad back in the day when I was home from college. Head Hunter and The Brass Cupcake! I'd fight in ANY war with those two!!! What always bugged me about cop shows like this was how the Captain always mistreats his best two cops, who always bring in the huge busts and the untouchable bad guys. So there's a little dust, so what??? I like how they always throw it right back in his face, though. It's a bit like Dirty Harry.
Hunter's old expression "Works for me" came to mind one day a few weeks ago and I came looking for this. Now I'm binge watching all of them, along with My Favorite Martian and Star Wars The Clone Wars. You gotta have SOME variety, right, or these shows would get old. They are so formulaic!! But I can't stop!!
edit: Okay, so I notice they replaced music and audio starting at 00:01:47, so something must be up with a song they were using in the show. Weird. I haven't listened to new music in years, but Shazam identifies the tune as Red Sky by The Big Heavy. Sounds like an update of 80's-vintage King Crimson. Pretty good, actually! They should have put it in mono to match the rest of the audio, though.
edit 2: I LOVE digging this stuff up! Pat Benetar's "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" single sleeve in a jukebox at 15:06. And this is supposed to be a country joint! At this rate it's going to take me three hours to watch this episode! I love seeing all the background stuff from the past that shows up in these TV shows.
"Red Sky (Misery Song)" by Radial Bliss actually, The Big Heavy version is a cover. Radial Bliss released the song on CD (on an album entitled "Stir") in 2001.
Also yeah, they originally used "Sympathy For The Devil" by The Rolling Stones in the places where "Red Sky (Misery Song)" is now, I guess they had licensing rights issues with it when they wanted to release the show on DVD, so they switched the music.
@@VladamireDI thought it was Gimme Shelter? “Sympathy” makes more sense, but for some reason I’m remembering the beginning of Gimme Shelter as the shooter is riding his motorcycle at the beginning.
@@VladamireD Thank you! When I first heard the song, I was like, "wait a minute.. for 1985 this sounds way ahead of it's time!" Thought I missed a gem from the 80s and it was driving me nuts haha!
@@jcneverquits fun fact, the same song was used in 'Bring It On: In it to Win it', a 2007 direct-to-video cheerleader comedy (Incorrectly listed as "Red Sky Misery Song"): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bring_It_On:_In_It_to_Win_It
Sadley, I remember this episode like it was yesterday. The stunt rider on that Hog was impressive, high centering it on them pipes will make you suck some serious seat up your arse, then catching air and sticking the land, impressive.
Well, it sure is nice to see Dukat in the holosuite at DS9. Damar must've programmed this as a prank.
Serious talk, though, I could tell it was Marc Alaimo even without the makeup or knowing how he looked back then. His whole attitude, acting, everything.
If Hunter & sidekick actually write in the report that the car died whilst in pursuit maybe just maybe Hunter would have been given one that actually works. He did better this episode and got himself a bike...and wrecked it.
Don't believe it that Stephanie Left the show Thier chemistry made the show Hunter It had very successful in television show to have a different energy in the show that was very excellent it was a totally awesome experience
Hunter and McCall sure kill cars
good old tradition, I think Starsky and Hutch were pretty good at it too.
When I first watched this episode Sympothy For The Devil By The Stones was used they changed it
O love the music they used here though. I wish I knew what it was
@Theduckwebcomics
"Red Sky" by The Big Heavy
I love the song also. I'd link the video of it for you but yew toob doesn't like links it seems !
A very sexy Stepfanie Kramer and Shawn Weatherly appear in the same episode together.
No doubt about it 👍 and what a beautiful profile pic you have there also !
The killer left his half smoked stub behind !!!! A careless mistake !!!!
Steve Sandor was in Knight Rider episode as Max Gifford in the episode Knight And Knerd. He was a very convincing bad guy.
41:27 the first time Hunter has driven a fully functioning police vehicle that doesn't have any problems
What type of car is Dee Dee’s? It looks like a Pontiac a fox body mustang and a DeLorean had a bastard child.
@@gregverity9533
It is a dodge Daytona Turbo Z
Works for me ...❤❤❤
Several characters make reference to silicone bullets in regards to penetrating police body armor. Silicone is a soft rubber like material that cannot penetrate anything. The proper term would be Teflon coated armor piercing bullets.
The show was at its best when the captain was played by John Amos.
👍👍👍
the competition was Dukes of Hazard, Magnum, much was car chases and smash ups with Daisy duke in Shorts/ Like wise here short skirts and smash em up car chases. high hair spandex and tons or rock bands
44:39 The ending to the _Hunter_ episode, "The Shooter".
How did. Berneymake cop !?? He can. Barely take dictation !
Does anyone know what song that is?
Is Bernie being played by the same actor that plays Tucker Carlson?
At about seven minutes, the police radio announces, "Attention all units: officer down, Hollywood Freeway near Barham." This is a hilly and busy area in the Cahuenga Pass, between Hollywood and Studio City. However, when detectives Hunter and McCall arrive at the crime scene, they are in a wide open, flat area, where freeway traffic can be seen only off in the distance. The location is likely the Sepulveda Dam Basin, a popular filming location for TV, movies, and commercials, near the intersection of Woodley Avenue and Burbank Boulevard. The 405 and 101 freeways (San Diego and Ventura freeways, respectively) travel on raised berms at the perimeter of the Basin, which is in the middle of the San Fernando Valley, several miles from the Cahuenga Pass and the Hollywood Freeway.
This new music sucks ! The original was the best version
You can thank the copywriters.🙄😭😱
Was it in Simi valley California?
That's Ghul Dukhat
hahaha, only for thid episode Hunter had a new car in order to chase a crazy bike driver. Screenwiters think smart when they want.
What's with the captain feller, he never likes Hunter and Mc Call, he does look evil.
Fast n furious railroad crossing 24:00
Yep DeeDee was awesome
This is my third episode and I find I'm enjoying them, but... hella stupid.
Thats not a Nighthawk..
Thank goodness that vehicles are far less volatile these days -- I bet the fire investigators and auto insurance adjusters were in high demand back then. (43:33)
Who is it that played 'Jackson',i have seen him in Knight Rider as Max Gifford another criminal in the episode Knight & Knerd.
Who played Jackson in this episode please?
" WORKS FOR. ME. "
The music that’s playing when the villain is riding the bike is not the original. The style of music doesn’t even fit the time in which this show was made in the 80’s.
this was the 1st or 2nd episode I ever watched and I believe they used a Rolling Stone song then
Yup, the original was "Sympathy for the devil" by the Rolling Stones.
I was thinking how it reminded me of Stone Temple Pilots; so...the change was made in the mid-90's?
@3rdmm
Sounds like STP mixed with Jane's addiction to me 😂 but the song is "Red Sky" by The Big Heavy.
I like it more than any rolling stones songs I've ever heard and I'm sure the Stones song was removed to avoid copyright or royalty issues.
Anyone know what band was playing?
francky mohuioho
jaime le film en langue francaises
Don't remember this one.
35:47, look like the frangible snake rounds that I used to buy for my 45 except those in the pic are 44-40 (slight ridge ~3/8" from case mouth). PS. putting silicone on the slugs doesnt make then penetrate vests. That was anti-gun hype dreamed up by gun controllers just like the "assault" weapons B.S.
LOL, I just learned that "Teflon" is a trademarked word. And it would be nice if teevee wouldn't just repeat random bullshit it hears on the street. AND contains no Si.
Donde la podre ver en español????????
Bernie is annoying
To many stupid adds
Talk about the ugliest drag.
Ugly as homemade sin.
Good Googa Mooga!
Hunter can figer the Cigarette thing but not the game bad acting
worst theme music for the rider....just get some good rock and roll on...
