I can't stop crying. They didn't deserve this. No child should have to go through such a horrific event. His parents are very blessed to take in every moment from now on with their boy. My heart absolutely can't stand the pain of even imagining losing my child to such a tragedy. My heart is with all Uvalde and especially the families that will never be the same ever again.
Do you uncontrolably cry for the multiple thousands of kids who's little bodies are torn to shreds in car crashes each year?

RIP to all the babies who died in the Uvalde shooting that day, so glad this little boy was able to return to his family alive that day. I have a 9 year old sister and I cannot imagine losing her to a tragedy like this.

I think about these kids every day. If we cannot guarantee a future for kids in this country… what’s the point? I mean really?
Yes... we think about them every day, but do we support our communities to stop the violence? Do we contribute to finding a solution, or do we make youtube comments and feel we have the right to be heard and are we worthy of criticizing others while we sit in our recliner chair waiting on someone else to fix the problem.

Poor kid had to play dead for 77 minutes, I’m still angry at the police for not doing their job. He is so brave for saving his own life.
As a victim whos now grown. Let him be ok. If hes ok let him be ok and let him talk about it wjen he wants to talk. I didnt want the talk until my mid thirties and then noone wanted to hear me and that hurt bad.

All the leadership needs to resign, be fired and sued.
Nobody is looking out for you. Every parent and grand parent needs to get their concealed carry permit, and carry every day. Both con sealed, as well as a rifle open carry.

Heartbreaking and maddening what happened to these children and their teachers. He’s a great, brave and strong kid and he has incredible parents. So unfair and horrifying what happened to him. 😢❤

Gun control can get Texas back on track. Abbott declared Texas a gun sanctuary state, no permits, open carry, over the objections of Texas law enforcement. That's the problem. This hell ends with comprehensive federal gun safety legislation, because Abbott will never fix this.

a community can be so divided but as soon as a tragedy hits everyone comes together and they always work together and come back better than ever.
I'm still dealing with trauma from being involved in a mass shooting from 5 1/2 years ago. But mine wasn't as severe as this young man so I pray for his continued recovery.

This is one of the most shameful and cowardly acts by law enforcement in US history. And I respect police. But this, to stand by and do nothing as children are murdered I cannot fathom or forgive. I hope this bears in their minds and causes them sleepless nights. Shame!!!

We are all Uvalde. I wrote that, one year go on my desk notes. This child, he is the bravest kid, his dad is right. In June, I’ll apply as a TA. In August, I’ll start teaching. In 2025, I’ll move on from early childhood using my ARt Degree, I’ll follow my daughter, I’ll teach at her school. I’m one of those millennials doing that mid life career change thing… I’m just getting started. Nothing is more important than our children, they’re our future.

My condolences go out to all the families of the 21 innocent victims, who lost their lives that infamous day in Uvalde , Texas....my heart goes out to all those kids that survived this unfortunate ordeal ....... It's disappointing that a year has gone by and our elected public servants ( Republicans and Democrats ) in Austin ...haven't done a thing to toughen gun laws ( when it comes to the purchase of AR15 style rifles ) ...that ( MIGHT HELP PREVENT) another school tragedy.........

Post traumatic stress disorder, not dramatic.
