The fact that this 10 year old little girl is weeping like that because of a nightmare that could and should have been prevented is purely horrible no child should ever have that sad face filled with pain I hope they find peace

How could you even send your child to school after something like this? If I was parent in this situation I don’t think I could ever send my kid back to a public school. This whole case is a nightmare.

That one’s really crazy because New York has the strictest gun laws in the country pretty much, like it’s very hard to get a gun and concealed or open carry isn’t allowed in any circumstances.

We need to put as much effort into protecting our children & families as we do in protecting firearm rights, assault weapon bans, purchase ages, stricter background checks, etc.

The fact this happened the day before my sons birthday. He wasn’t in the school, but said he was so sad because of all the kids who passed away. He said he would pray for them 😢❤. I’m so sorry for your loss. As a parent I try my hardest to keep my son safe from harm and danger. We need schools safe. Let our kids go to school everyone! 😢❤

My sister was in this school shooting and luckily she is still alive but she still prays for her friends and the teachers and I can’t imagine how hard it is for these families

It’s our job as adults to do whatever is necessary to protect children. It’s great these kids are speaking up, it empowers them. However, this shouldn’t even be necessary. Children should be able to have a safe and secure childhood in our country. There is a serious problem that needs to be corrected ASAP by adults.

America has failed as a country. We shouldn't have officers standing outside of a school looking stupid while children are being hurt. We lost 19 children and 2 teachers that day. We must pray for this country and those involved in this tragedy, parents, students, and teachers.

NO kids my age should be talking about this.. these boys and girls could’ve been in 5th grade like me but instead they died before they did and they didn’t get to go on with their lives and EVERYONE should have a voice. No kid should die for no reason.. they came to school to learn and not to die. They were all so injured to the point that some kids were buried with missing limbs and holes in their chest. NO PARENT should drop off their kid at school just for them to never come back.. and that day 19 parents never saw their children again. I wish I could go to school and not practice shooting drills anymore, I wish my friend can stop worrying to go to the bathroom cause of this. If only this shooter knew the cause and effect of this.. it didn’t effect only the parents but it also effected the whole entire usa. Stop gun violence

This is just sad that every kid in school right now is risking their own life for an education and to make us parents proud. Some parents still tell their child to work harder in school,but isnt risking their life enough to make u proud? Kids sometimes have to stop and think about everything that can happen at school, its sad.

Awww this Uvalde shooting still stit with me and Columbine High School. I definitely feel terrible and for all mass shootings, Columbine is the first school shooting I ever heard of and I was in high school myself like Columbine students. Then Uvalde that just hurt me because that shooting shouldn't have lasted that long, the cops was cowards. its not a democrat vs republican issue. Democrats have been in office for decades, and still we have this problem. The truth is, neither party wants to do anything because they receive millions of dollars of advocate money from pro-gun organizations like the NRA.
