  • Repetition can be fatiguing on the listener's ear, especially in programmed synth lines. The master of "keeping it fresh" is Aphex Twin. Here is a little patch idea for you. Enjoy!

I make my own samples but with my guitar and a boss multi FX pedal. I know nothing about synths but find your channel interesting and I think it will improve my creations/songs. I just subscribed.

thi is not working for me -- maybe it is because the patch cables are hidden, How are they connected?

Hey Steve, I break down every connection and setting in the video. Its important to get the octaves approximately right on the VCOs - try to match my settings. Sine Out of VCO 2 to Filter Freq in. S/H to VCO2. Ring mod pre and post filter to taste. Hope this helps man - if not feel free to dm me.

Cool - do let me know if you succeeded. It takes very fine slider adjustments to get the sweet spot where you either have it or it just sounds off.

@@ksmusiclounge1648 probably @steveallenmashburn8815 is talking about the pattern. I'm pretty sure that's coming from your sequencer which is peaking out from the bottom left corner of the video.

Oh, if thats the case - well, any sequence will do
