i didn't know i needed a runner analyzing tom cruise until i saw a runner analyzing tom cruise
He means tom hanks right? Tom hanks
@@jy-li1jq no Tom cruise
Tom Spanks
Ikr, before she even said it my first thought was “his legs are too high”😂😂
@@jy-li1jq @2:55
I have ALWAYS wanted to hear an expert talk about how Tom Cruise runs lmao
same, he just looks ridiculous most of the time but I couldn't articulate why. Allyson breaks it down perfectly
Why???
You don’t need to be an expert to see he’s an obnoxious runner, he’s definitely the king of “doing too much” lol
Who's Tom Cruise? : {)
He's pushing the VISUALS since he's making a movie so he exaggerates some of the motions. His actions make sense considering what he's doing.
For ppl who don’t follow track and field, Allyson is the most versatile runner in history. She is one of only a handful of runners to go sub 11 seconds in the 100m, sub 22 seconds in the 200m, and sub 50 seconds in the 400m. She is the most decorated medalist in global championships(Olympics and world championships) track and field athlete in HISTORY. More than Usain Bolt, more than Shelly ann fraser pryce, more than Carl Lewis. Recently in Tokyo she won a historic bronze medal in the 400m after becoming a mother and becoming the oldest female 400m Olympic medalist. She’s not a flashy sprinter, 100m is her weakest event and she’s not screaming and gloating when she wins, but she always finds a way to fly under the radar and win, and that’s what matters!
This could be filled with Tom Cruise movies only and it would still barely scratch the surface.
but his run is the most consistent thing in the universe? What else is there to say?
as a distance guy hearing her say she loved hot weather was a mind melter
As a person who likes to pick up heavy objects and put them down, running melts my mind
Lol caught that too, did you?
Sprinting is different…
@@broaderrange5870 hence why I acknowledged that it’s different as a distance guy😂
@@cjparkeffaking4551 😂😂
The fact that Tom Hanks used 3 different running forms for Forrest Gump and they all were correct for that point in the story is amazing.
She is just so gorgeous.
Yes. She is.
Very confident and successful olympican
I am a latino guy, and I always want to date a girl like her. Where I live there are no African American women.

So nice seeing her in a ton of recent CZcams videos!
Ikr. It's like she's finally getting recognized
Me too! I'm enjoying everyone of them!!!
Calling yourself mathematical yet enjoying such primitive nonsense.
Pathetic.
She’s a living legend!
@@fragileomniscience7647 you can enjoy math AND "primitive nonsense". I bet there are 2 completely different things that you enjoy in life. 🤦♂️
Most decorated track and field athlete in history, male or female. This is an all-time legend right here.
Not true. She is the most decorated US track athlete, but not the most decorated in the world ;) Typical Americans and their geography.
@@ChessJourneyman exactly….did he really have to specify….she’s still the most decorated and will always be an all time legend
@@ChessJourneyman Talk talk yapyapyaap. Let's get into it.
1. Please proceed and provide a definition for "most decorated" as it relates to your claim. Make it SPECIFIC and MEASURABLE.
2. Please go ahead and tell me who is more decorated than Allyson Felix.

Tom Cruise with his approximation of how a human would run.
He’s a robot
Totally underrated comment
I'm just glad she didn't subject us to watching Steven Seagal run, let alone analyzing it.
LOL!

Exactly
I laughed so loud and yes, she is.
She actually is .. lol
She is so classy, well spoken and obviously intelligent not to mention amazingly beautiful.
Why are you so surprised by that though? 🤔
@@cielecelestine3469 do not mistake my statement as a suprise. I just think in my humble opinion that she is a beautiful person. Did you see an exclamation point in my sentences?
@Jacque even tho I agree with him, I've never heard ANYONE call a white person "well spoken". That compliment is exclusive for describing black people.
@@Alr1ghtyThen Hard disagree. There is a general perception that athletes are "dumb" and so a well-spoken athlete is a suprise to some people.
@@Alr1ghtyThen Heard about Franck Ribery? He's not that well spoken
Ms Felix is just a class act - on the track, in interviews, here.
Right?! Compared to a more recent track star who I shall not name lol
@@SinaAla Ugh just saw her interview after placing 9th…..no words lol
i saw her for the first time at the last olympics and the first thing i thought was "wow she looks like a classy lady." i guess she just gives off that classy vibe.
We could have an entire video dedicated to just Tom Cruise running scenes. Video would be about 2 hours long but still.
He do love to run and he love to run hard!
her talking about walking into the stadium at the olympics with the camera flashes and how the crowd can affect performance makes me wonder how much not having a crowd will affect athlete performance this year....
Honestly
The crowd give everybody the adrenaline.. without a crowd, it’s hard to push as hard
@@bernarjayjackson2003 Interesting theory I read is that the athletes might do better because the crowd literally sucks the oxygen out of the stadium.
As a former sprinter (200m, 400m) the crowd is a motivator but I know a lot of field athletes and distance runners that prefer a quieter atmosphere
im a former 100, 200 sprinter and for me I liked it and i performed better when there was less of a crowd so theres probably a few athletes who feel the same way
Allyson Felix? I see, I click. She is not only an amazing athlete but an amazing advocate
I wish they used the scene in Cool Runnings where the guys fall over each other trying to qualify for The Olympics.
OoOoOo… yeah! That would have been a good one. Maybe they can do a part two. I’d love to see more videos with Allyson 💕
Such a well-balanced critique and she was very fair on each actor. How good!
I love listening to a person who really knows what they’re talking about.
Amen, it doesn’t hurt she’s easy on the eyes as well.
Idk about that bro
the fact that she did it so seriously makes this awesome.
She's the best in the world at what she does, she has amazing poise and screen presence, and she's absolutely beautiful. More of Allyson Felix explaining things, please!
She is absolutely one of the most beautiful women ever on this earth
I used to do athletics when I was in middle and high school. After doing it for 5 years, I had to had dropped it, choosing academic education. Allyson Felix was an inspiration back then and she still is. Mad respect for her. Truly a legend

Why?

The pro evaluation I didn’t know I needed🤩
Should have done the MI: Fallout moment where Cruise is sprinting and then starts sprinting even faster!
she super chill, very cool you can she not only runs fast but she thinks fast and precisely.
I’m just here for the 🐐🖤🖤🖤
Edit: She’s the most accomplished track runner of all time!
When she talked about flaring up the shins I felt that. My shins felt that.

My fave is Steven Seagal
i’ve been watching this girl run in the olympics it feels like 20 years

Man you know this video just absolutely had to have a Tom Cruise scene.
This was great! Allyson is an excellent conveyor of information! She should do more of these!
I didn't know I would watch a entire video about movie techniques ever in life, but now I need a Part 2 ♥
I didn't think I could watch the video in it's entirety. I have so much respect for her on and off the track. Awesome job Allyson.
So insightful. I'm so proud of her. Great Olympian.
Gonna have to say that turn in Get Out is 100% realistic. That's more football and basketball than track and field. In Football there's even plays named after the technique. 10 and Out for example. You run as fast as you can for 10 yards, then cut hard to the outside of the field without losing speed at what is essentially a 90 degree angle. That's all the guy did. Just a quick cut.
You sound like you know what you're talking about.
Wow interesting, ⬆️ haha they do seem to know what's up
She’s an elite Sprinter so…
@@jessicagreen8883 nfl players are elite athletes in more areas than running straight ahead.
@@jessicagreen8883 Yeah. A sprinter who never actually has to turn while running. Nothing against her but if you've ever watched a football game that is one of the most common plays.
This lovely sprinter lady gives me some very real...feelings. MORE Allyson please!
Dang. Running is WAY more technical than I thought.
Bollocks. 99% of things when running can't even be consciously controlled lmfao.
A "sport" as brainless as bodybuilding.
@@fragileomniscience7647 couldn’t disagree more. People have saved their own lives by taking up running, losing massive weight and improving their overall cardiovascular health and more-including mental health. Have you ever run?
When I sprinted in high school it actually shocked me I was running all wrong😂😂
@@fragileomniscience7647
I bet you have never set foot on a track. There is a reason barely anyone cares about hockey or baseball in the Olympics but the world cares about sprinting.

What a legend, she's just as down to earth here as she is in interviews and stuff. Beautiful woman, amazing athlete, I'm sure wonderful mother, this woman can do anything. I've watched her since college and she developed into one of the best track and field athletes ever. Amazing stuff!
You gotta include Rocky, when he's running with the cargo ships in the background, for a topic like this.

Alison did a great job explaining the science of running 🙂.
Those rocky scenes, are just super inspirational!!
I really enjoyed this! I adore Allyson! Great job explaining. 💜
Well done Allyson on another medal
I'm gonna need a part 2!!!❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I'm disappointed you didn't get her to review Stephen Seagals run. She's fantastic both on the track and on camera
🤣 lmao😂 he’s ridiculous
Hopefully Tom Cruise doesn't see this, but I knew his run was weird.
Personal feelings about him being in a cult aside (which I honestly feel bad for him), he seems like the type of actor that would hear this critique and change the way he runs. He seems to be very dedicated to giving a great performance.
I mean he's Not a professional runner 😅😅🤣🤣 I'm sure the average person doesn't run as good Alyson
He just needs to relax his arm carriage and it'd look so much better. But then in the movie he is running to save the world
We want to watch a Professional breather analyzing movie breathing scenes
I'm an expert,been breathing 50 years,lol!
The level of detail that Olympic athletes use when describing what they are looking at shows you the amount of effort they put into working that certain area/technique on their own body.
I just LOVE Allyson Felix!! She can do no wrong!
Excellent video! Thanks!
This is perfect! I'd watch her analyze another 10-20 movies and keep watching.
Tom Cruise runs that way because of the high heels.

Nice choices of movies scenes...I never thought to look at movie clips in this way. My background is art/music...so im always critiquing movies on that platform. Very interesting video!
I respect, admire........love this women. Women of the century!
I remember seeing an interview for that stupid Will & Jaden Smith movie about being future soldiers or whatever, and Will was talking about getting a trainer early in his action career to teach him how to run on camera (to excuse how brutally awkward and unathletic Jaden was even after training). He said he had to develop a completely new form exclusively for being on camera.
Lol I remember this, he said something like learning to run like movie star
You're stupid . Better than that dumb ghost busters movie with all female cast
