No the relaxer didn't burn. Only time that I have experienced burns is when I have been scratching my scalp prior to relaxing my hair. If I have been scratching my scalp, then yes, I will base my scalp first.

Thanks so much for the idea. I've tried this a few times, but for some weird reason, my scalp itches verryyyyy bad around 4-5 weeks and I can't resist the urge to scratch nonstop which results in scabs and burning when I finally do put my relaxer in.

How long do you go without a relaxer? I’m want to try 12 weeks but never can make it that far.
I normally relax around 5-6 weeks post. Personally, when I stretch for too long, I get breakage easily.
