ABOUT MARION
Marion Grasby is a food producer, television presenter and cookbook author who's had a life-long love affair with Asian food.
Marion is a little bit Thai (courtesy of her mum) and a little bit Australian (courtesy of her dad).
Marion lives in Bangkok, Thailand and travels throughout Asia to find the most unique and delicious Asian food recipes, dishes and ingredients.
Well, 69 years old and always enjoyed cooking but could never get a handle on Asian cuisine much as I loved eating it.
You're recipes and pointers have changed that out of sight and I can now throw dishes together just by Mark one tasteball and a quick rummage in the pantry.
How do I know it is working? When the wife says....yummy,another Marion recipe?......Love being able to smile and say yes when it is something I just cobbled together using your advice and tips....thank you, thank you thank you.
The shots of the glistening char siew pork alone is droolworthy !
I never understand why anyone would Hit the dislike button on marion’s videos! I love them all, she’s brilliant ❤️
I have observed that even a video of a smiling baby would get ~ 3% dislikes.... seems that 3% of humans are really soul and heartless.
She's great and the video is great, I'm guessing it's because it's not stir-fried properly. might as well have banged it in the microwave.
Uncle rodger would be furious!!!
Perhaps because they disliked it?
"This noodle brings me so much joy". Can't agree more.
Great recipe! Singaporean here. No Singapore noodles but we have many other types of delicious noodles! Prawn Mee, Hokkien Mee, Laksa, Char Kway Tiao, Lor Mee, Mee Soto and many more! :)
we do have singapore noodles in Singapore its jus called xin Zhou mi fen bro... are u rly singaporean?! (jokes)
ShutUpStacy don’t forget bee hoon goreng! I’ve been craving it for 20+ years 😓
@@sophiajenkins8293 is bee hoon goreng, a Bee is Hooning in their car and wants fried rice?
Shut up stacy
this one's a keeper ! OMG i think it's my fave recipe yet .. I can just imagine biting into a moist piece of pork and those crunchy snap peas, and the prawns ... this has it ALL !!! I just ate ... why am I hungry again? Thanks Marion !
This looks so amazing, as stir fry is the fast fast meal that everything should come together as the same time, without compromising on the flavor. Best of both worlds, why not?!
Made these tonight, and the noddles were wonderful! Definitely a keeper!
I love this lady ! Though I don’t cook much, I like to watch her cooking. So therapeutic 😌😌
In Malaysia we called this Bihun Singapore. It’s usually served when there are visitors coming to our house or on special occasions.
we also do the same in Philippines especially on birthdays. It's tradition and believed that it will give you long life, coz noodles = long hahaha
I was first introduced to this delicious dish by my Malaysian aunty.
Made this today with prawns instead. Absolutely amazing. Thank you Marion!
Just watching you cook and enjoy the fruit of your own labor is entertaining enough. Itś a compliment, in case it´s not clear. So enjoy your channel. this seems like a rather simple recipe that I think I can handle. lolz. Thanks, Marion!
Marion, youre always making me extremely hungry....
Yes!!! Another noodle recipe! It look so good Marion, can’t wait to cook this up
and you never did.
Congrats to your videos. It always great to watch them! You do a great job to bring Asian cuisine to the people 👍
I love watching marion eat lol. Shes so polite
You are amazing! I love the quick and easy recipes!
Lovely recipe Marion, I had this at my local Chinese restaurant in Sheffield on Sunday.
Your cooking has helped me get my love back into cooking. Thank you xoxo
You’ve cracked it once again Marion! These are the best Singapore Noodles I’ve seen anywhere on CZcams. Khob khun krub 🙏🏻
Thank you! This is the dish I always get when we go for Chinese, it's the reason I don't get buffet. I made it for supper last night, OMG! Wonderful to be able to cook this myself now and have it anytime I want it!
Looks So good! I’ve made this, Mei Fun and Pancit using these noodles.
Omg your production is stellar and your presentation is so chill. Great content. You could also teach others how to produce top notch studio presentations. Love Singapore noodles where ever they originated. ❤️
I'm so looking forward to having this dish Friday evening with some work colleagues, its my favorite dish when eating out. I usually order extra spicy, it's delicious, 😊🍀🇮🇪
I moved from Hong Kong to Singapore and couldn’t wait for the genuine article on tap... To my surprise, they didn’t exist. Equally surprisingly the Singaporean’s have Hong Kong noodles - something not found in Hong Kong. LOL!
bakaracingteam I’ll have to try making the Hong Kong noodles that don’t exist in Hong Kong next!! 🤣🤣🤣
😂
Singapore noodles is called 星洲米粉 (xin zhou mi fen) in Singapore... We call it by it's Mandarin name that's why many people don't know it exist.
Appəl I don’t know what you’re talking about . I grew up in Singapore and I never had them in Singapore.
@@tzegoh333 , Go to any coffeeshop 'Zi Char' Stall (They usually open at night).... The big main stall that sells 'Hor Fun', 'Xiang Kang Mien'... Tell them you want 星洲米粉 (xin zhou mi fen).... YOU'RE WELCOME!
Amazing tutorial Thankyou so much
Love how she's tasting them and trying to talk, but it's too good to stop eating :D Love it!
LOL. I always talk with my mouth full too. Can't help it!
Nick so good recipe
Weeh nick jelous? Lol she's awesome
Here comes Marion to the rescue :). I always order this on my local take out (Yao) in Dominican Republic. Now I will make them myself.
Jordi Rafael Ramos Ventura really good I will try it soon too
I heard that it was invented by a HK chef who called it Singaporean noodles because it contains the vermicelli noodles and curry powder which Singaporeans love using. I am a Singaporean. 😆 I have seen it in some seafood restaurants in Singapore though but it isn't very popular
A O understand
Love love love all your recipes
This recipe looks divine!!😋
Thank you so much for sharing this recipes. I love these noodles! 🤗🤗
great , great cook i love all the video's . i learn to cook again thank you.
Gorgeous ear hangings! Thank you so much for this noodle recipe 🙏
Absolutely love the recipe, have already made it thrice
I followed your receipt (without the pork)and is a fabulous dish. Your channel is great help. Many thanks from London.
Was it easy making it? I’m trying to make some soon and I was wondering if you just didn’t add the ingredients that were added into the pork?
I remember watching this famous Chinese chef Elizabeth chong making Singapore noodles on a morning show, I quickly wrote it down cook it & made as often as I could love it.
Definitely have to try this.
We get Singaporean noodles here in South Africa as well - yummy.
Have really enjoyed this video thank you
Thank you so much! i love these noodles, but never knew exactly how to make them. The recipe looks really easy to follow too. Again. Thank you :-)
I love that Marion truly enjoys her cooking. No sissy nibbles either. Thank you!
Craving some of that now. Yummy.
I asked for this recipe today. I missed it when I looked for it. Then it popped up in my recommendations. It’s a good day. I just thawed a piece of pork belly in the fridge last night. Prawns in fridge, eggs collected from the chooks. I have red capsicums. No pea pods in the garden yet...only have first few flowers on plants, but frozen peas. Bihon noodles in cupboard. Curry spices in cabinet. 🤩🥳
I'm OBSESSED with you content!! Keep up the good work! I've been really enjoying your videos! :)
I love your recipes!!!
Mmmh! Looks delish! Will definitely try this, have tried a few of Marion's recipes now and none of them have been a let-down. Thanks for the great content

OMG! I loved it! I'm not the only one that said that about Singapore noodles we only find them in Chinese restaurant once in a while in Thai restaurant
Wonderful recipe I love singaporean food

I love your style♥️ your videos are amazing; delicious recipe 🙏🏼👍
Literally made pork belly char siu using with your recipe before watching this video! I love Singapore noodles. Yum!
Thank you for such a detailed video on how to make the noodles! What curry powder is recommended to use?
I will try this looks good👍
One of my favorite dishes!!!!!!
Wow looks so delicious, love that video 🍤🍝👍
My absolute favourite noodle dish. I started making them myself, and they're a little bit different every time, depending on what protein and veggies I have at the moment.
The first time I made them and tasted them, I was amazed...they tasted just like my fave take-out Singapore Noodles!!
Hello Terri how are you doing today?
@@frankhartman6463 Good, Frank. How you are you today?
OMG looks delis 😋
Thank you for showing us. I had these noodles over in Signapore, and I've always wanted wife to learn how to make them. Thanks for helping us know how to save money at home.
So declious.. thank you so much!!
I'm loving it for all the protein! Yes! LOL
This looks mouth watering! 😀☺
Will cook this for dinner..yumm!
Shanti Puruhita I cook it too
The first time I had Singapore noodles, I was hooked. I really love the curry flavor
I think I'm in love with Marion. 💜
It looks right. It looks authentic! 👍👍
I always. Wanted this recipe..marion you are the Best 👍❤️💋🥰..
Αmazing always thanks from Australia
I am Singaporean and you can get this dish almost everywhere in Singapore but it’s not called Singapore noodles. The Malay version (With chilli and sweet sauce kecap Manis ) is mee Siam goreng, Indian mee version is mee hoon goreng (with sambal and tomato sauce) and the Chinese version is bee hoon dry.
I grew up in Singapore, and it was not until I moved to London that I first tried Singapore noodles ! They are amazing !!!! I don't why people in Singapore don't have Singapore noodles, but then again, who am I to judge the crazies ???
Made these last night. Omg...so delicious! I have yet to make one of your dishes that I didn't love.
Wao so nice food
I'm going to give this a try using chicken and shrimp.. my fav combo!
I like chicken and char siu, with green onions; Singaporean noodles are a favorite.
Love those charred eggs, so distinct.
yum and love the sort of 70s background music .. a bit like debbie does something ?? here in the uk.
I purchase this at home from a strictly take out chinese establishment, I love it.
Wow!! Looks so amazing Marion
Yummy!😋
Singapore Noodles is certainly available in Singapore! You just have to know where to get it. Where ? At "Zi Char" stalls usually found in coffee shops . The pork used is called "Char Siu" and the noodles used is called "Bee Hoon" or rice noodles. Vermicelli is not rice noodles but mung beans noodles or "Tung Hoon". Eggs are not pre cooked but are mixed and poured into the noodles during cooking. S$5 to S$6 per dish. Vegetable used is cabbage. Enjoy!!!
I agree. The first time I had them was in Singapore.
@@kegaket6772 Same. I had them also in Singapore on a school field trip.
Don't know where you ate in Singapore but I lived in the varsity area and had them every Friday night
I love watching your videos and making your recipes Marion. You are so cute and sweet! I am making this recipe this evening. Keep up the great work!
Yes Noodles noodles! I’m craving noodles!
I absolutely love Singapore noodles 🍝 chow-meh-fun is what they call it at my local Chinese restaurant where I live here in Florida. Absolutely delicious 😋
Great recipe I just made it and it's delicious. In the Philippines we call the noodles "Bee hon" surprise they call almost the same in Singapore.
That is because Beehoon is a hokkien word. Bee means rice hoon means noodles.
Yes! ! Marion, u are absolutely correct! I am a Singaporean . I get to eat this version of Singapore noodle in Australia and the US with curry powder added. I don’t know why, but I do notice that curry powder is being added into the noodles. And it’s named “ Singapore Noodles “ . Haha...
Can I just say that I LOVE watching her channel so much, but I try not to watch at midnight (if you know what I mean) 😆😆
Yummy 😋
Hah the one dislike is funny. Her video quality is top notch. Amazing cook. Beautiful personality. And her coconut sweet chili sauce is amazing. Love everything this woman cooks!!! Everything always looks soooooo goooooddddd🤤🤤🤤
Joe Krause really amazing cook I love her
Joe Krause Awwwww thanks Joe! 🥰🥰🥰
I Am Thyda Cooking Thank you! 😘
@@Marionskitchen what's thyda cooking? I love watching these demos of your cooking. I myself love cooking and learning about cultural cooking. I also want to learn home made cooking
@DH I don't understand what you mean, but it seems you're mad. We love you always and forever and never forget that you are fucking awesome!!!❣️♥️♥️♥️❣️
they are originated in Hong Kong. its a Cantonese style rice noodle dish. Mi fen/mei fun is soo good
I’ve tried making these so many times, including America’s test kitchen version, and all of turned out nothing like the restaurant style. This seems as close to what I’ve been searching for! Can’t wait to get these into out next weekly menu.
This week I have Thai chicken gravy noodles (rad naa) and Thai spicy pork and spaghetti. Thank you for sharing so many amazing recipes!!
Alexander Cowan Awesome! I’d love to hear what you think about my version when you try it out!
Alexander Cowan you’re good chef
These were great, noodles perfect, thank you for the great advice! I wish my curry powder was milder, it almost over powered the dish. Do you make your own curry powder? Otherwise amazing as always!
*side note: your recipe on the website doesn’t mention at which point to add the pork and eggs. I just followed your video. ;)
Alexander Cowan 🤦🏻♀️ Oh no! I’ll get that fixed right away. Thank you for letting me know!!! And I generally buy my curry powder. I use a local Thai brand here in Bangkok. But definitely I agree that curry powders can differ so widely! Mine was quite a mild flavour, which I like. So you should use less next time or try searching out a curry powder that comes from Thailand.
So glad you explained at the beginning about Singapore noodles not from Singapore. I'm originally from Singapore so you know how I must feel😗
As always, very good format. If I could change anything, I would skip the music which I found was quite distracting making it difficult to follow the video.
Best, Kenn
Yum.
I love how you say “my version!!!” I always love your version! Also would love to see your version of ‘Rama!’ I love rama
Rayven Goolsby I love ❤️ her version too
😍😍yummy Singapore noodles
It’s a dish created in Hong Kong I believe. That’s why it’s on a lot of Cantonese menus. What I think would have happened is someone created it, then had to come up with a name. Then thought, “they like lots of curry in Singapore, let’s call them Singapore noodles.” Same sort of thing happened when someone decided to call ham and pineapple pizza Hawaiian pizza.
