You should know that the room you are in is for two people. So, the fare you saw per person is double for the price of the room. People sailing alone pay a “single supplement” which is basically double the per person rate. You are getting a better deal than you think!

On the free casino cruises they do expect you to gamble on the cruise. They can keep track when you use your ship card. If you don’t gamble enough, you won’t get too many more free cruises. But since you are new, you may be able to get a few more free ones on different cruise lines before they stop them.
Have been on numerous cruises with my wife so watching this video brought back many memories. Since you cabin was comped can't really complain about the obstructed view from your portal. I hear you about the passport and I am constantly checking mine when we cruise. I would assume you have to give the casino a certain amount of action for the comp? Glad to see a new cruise trip so quickly Danny, I know you said at the end of the last trip you would do one (I think) close to March or so, but hey beggars can't be choosers for early stuff! Also, that room is even SMALLER than the last one - how is that even possible? Either way, a friend of mine was recently on one of these cruise ships (I don't think it was this one specifically) and she had a ball and loved the food. All the buffet stuff was decent to good and the sit down restaurants and specific themed places they had she loved. I believe she had some sort of shrimp dish very similar to the one you had on the previous cruise (I think it was a shrimp dish) so you probably had that already. Considering the cruise is already over with, I hope you had a good time and enjoyed all the food and "stuff" on the ship.
for me, the two big ones is that MSC was much cleaner and nicer, but NCL had better food options, but check out the videos on YT with the complete ship walkthroughs deck by deck there is a travel agency with stuff like that and it was fun to watch

Congrats on the second "free" cruise! Just finished another "free" one myself (to Mexico via Galveston, TX). I still have one more on Carnival for a status match with my MGM Gold, but I can't find a time/sailing I like. I've noticed that for some reason the cruise lines like Italian names/theming for cruises from NYC (Carnival sails the Venezia from there). When you go from Texas they have a Texas theme, why not a NY theme from NYC? That plastic thing on the bed is so you can put your luggage there to unpack. Before you go to bed they'll sneak in and fold it up and put it under your bed or in your closet, then it will magically reappear on the bed the day before you disembark so you can pack again. And that's an extra hanger rod so you can double-layer your clothes (handy if it's a 2-week trip!).
@@dannythemedic Not sure if a perpetual DND light triggers a "wellness check" on a ship like it does in a Vegas hotel - usually a ship cabin is more secure than a Vegas room as well (hell, people leave luggage out in the hall!) so I don't worry as much about the ninja steward coming in to change towels/make the bed on a ship.
I also see it this way, I am not some prim vacationer who wants all kinds of unnecessary services to be done for no reason, so the DND light gives the worker a break, and I told the work that, I dont need NO services at all.
DTM good thing the pineapples on your shirt is not upside down. Some people might get the wrong idea. Since you "love it inside" never open the door to people wearing upside pineapple shirts. Good thing your in Vegas, New York is crazy. There was a guy stabbing people, police getting jumped etc. Have a safe cruise!

there is salt on the table or if you ask for it, buffets okay, casino suck with bad odds, they have mini bacc, this cruise had 50-60% of customer capacity ish.. for best results put one question at a time in their own comment.
The purpose of the card in the slot is so when you take it out to leave, all the lights, and electricity , go out. Otherwise everyone would leave the lights on and use on electricity. I also think it can tell the cabin steward when you are in the cabin or not.

I have been cruised for 20 years, I cruised about more than 100 cruises. In Oct 2023, I took the MSC transatlantic Genoa-Miami. This is the worst cruise ever. Never again cruise with MSC.
on not at all, if I wanted people to talk to, there were thousands of captives, I mean customers! but I dont bother people, I like it when I am alone, my idea of a good time is sitting by myself on a peaceful mountaintop, other people would like packed nightclub.. I dont even go to movie theaters anymore just too many damn ppl!

The MSC mat on the bed is for your luggage, that way you can unpack without getting your bedding dirty.
The mat is a place to put your luggage when unpacking.

The blue waterproof pad is used to place your luggage onto the bed so you can open it. There’s no room on the floor to do it.

danny, you don't need all that camera gear. just get the dji osmo pocket 3 with a remote mike package. it will make your life much easier.
