Good to see you're gradually making your way back to uploading often! Tho I'd recommend getting a few videos made first so you can go for like a weekly upload schedule which will improve the algorithm even more

Yeah I found this book to be a chore to read. Not due to any complexity of prose rather it’s overdone and smarmy tone. Most of the conversations had between the main “characters” felt unreal to me. I don’t know if it was gargantuan amount of plot exposition contained or the “science” should be understood by the reader and if not you are on the same level as the evil corporate goon or national militaries. Most times I couldn’t even tell who was who strictly by dialogue, as most felt interchangeable in their fields of expertise and the easy going nature of the whole first third of the book get derailed by a sudden change of tone and stakes. This was in name only as the “hilarious” jabs between the main characters felt out of place for this mood shift and returned to a status quo of deus ex machina quartet expositing doctoral dissertations of how to win the day. This is disappointing as the premise is absolutely full of potential and CAN be a funny setting for a workplace comedy while focusing on this alternate Kaijus earth. We rarely get media that really dives into the specifics of these creatures and movies usually don’t have the time to focus in specifics. Here generalizations and non descriptions really take you out of the book or foster a desire to further understand specific creatures minus the coconut crab monsters. I wish I could like this book, as it should be a campy, fun story, however it feels like a rushed and uninterested addition to drop pop culture references and a gimmick premise.

This book sounds campy and fun. I don't mind a little camp.
