The Genesis version, developed by Clockwork Tortoise and published by Sega, is a run 'n' gun where both Batman and Robin must stop Mr. Freeze, who plans to freeze Gotham City. In order to keep the duo busy, he also frees the Joker, Two-Face and the Mad Hatter, each one with their own agenda. The Joker celebrates his birthday wreaking havoc in Gotham and stealing diamonds, Two-Face tries to take over the city from above, and Mad Hatter is creating a robot army in his surreal lair.
The game can be played by two players simultaneously; one player with Batman, and the other with Robin. Both characters are identical in terms of playability, and both use batarangs, bolas, or shuriken in long-range attacks, while using melee attacks at short range. There are four levels consisting of several stages, mostly of a straight left-to-right traverse to the end where the boss awaits. In some levels the game switches to a side-scrolling shooter, in which the players must control the Batwings.
The Genesis version of the game was released on August 2, 1995, during the same time Comix Zone was released for the Sega Genesis as well. The game features a dark electronica-styled soundtrack by Jesper Kyd.

It must be so fun to mix this track all around. But it's also a nightmare, considering how separate channels keep switching every few seconds in the original AoB&R OST. Nice work!
Exactly! That's the reason why i leave it for a while after each release. You can notice in the mixer that the main instruments isn't switching at all. I arrange them in its proper timeline track but that's not all, cause i like to remove excess of noises (carefully) and clean unnecessary frequencies in order to have the cleanest mix possible without losing its identity, but despite having everything organized in the multitrack, it will still be messy on the mixer after assigned to it. Example; if I assign an EQ to some synth in order to fix an area that i judge defective and then it switches to a kickdrum, this one could have its sound ruined by the earlier equalization that doesn't make sense anymore. Solution; after arranging i render/consolidate each track so i can get new stems (yes, a big pack of consistent stems from the original 6 channels messy stems) and since I'm doing this anyway, I take a ride in the process and separate even more channels for more freedom of treatment (if i find necessary to do). That's why you see much more channels in the capture than the YM2612 actually has. Thank you very much for following the channel, sincerely. Best regards always!

Love this build up that you did. One of my favorite tracks to do jogging in the evening. You need to try it out.
Mad hatter stages were by far the hardest in the game, only fitting the they also had the hardest songs... the music willed me through those stages. So proud to have beaten this game back in the day. This remix is sick, well done!

he tried to generate sounds through a computer
he created intentional distortion to give it a distinct, crunchy sound. The devs let him do whatever he wanted

90s techno is way better. Modern techno sucks lol it sounds the same. Fm synthesis was rare to use in techno because this genre of music was dominated by analog subtractive synths. Fm synthesis is hard to program too its impressive for time. Ever heard of jazz jack rabbit soundtrack. Or streets of rage 3
