今回はMGEXユニコーンガンダムVer.Kaを全塗装してみました。
キットのつくりは非常にシンプルなので、雰囲気を出そうと思うと上級者向けなんじゃないかと思います。まあデカールペタペタ張っておけばスジボリ入れるまでもなくそれっぽい感じになるのかもしれないです。
正直、動画撮影者が2体目で手を出すキットではないですね。土にかえるかと思いましたよ。

I said I might work on MG Wing Gundam Ver. Ka Build project first instead of MGEX, I end up finishing MGEX first. Managing 7TB of video footage across 2 SSD and 2 HDD in the past two months was literally a nightmare.
Overall, video quality, mostly audio, isn't as high as RG Zeong since it's been shot in the old method, but I spend quite a long time on this video. THE previous RG Zeong Build project only took me 4 days. MGEX took me more than 400 hours from start to finish.
For this reason, MG Wing Gundam Build video will be delayed for 3 days. I will post it as soon as I can. Stay tuned👍

1000 hours of editing so I can come and start it at 11:55 because I don't care about the process.
The sound of cutting out the parts is almost therapeutic in nature when just listening.

@@vasilileung2204 not at all! We live together, and we always build some HG and MG together. So this will probably be a junction project haha we have 16 closed boxes of random Gundams we want to build, plus some more surprise I bought him for Christmas :)

I try to do something like this, with the clicking ASMR and beat. took me like 10 hours to do the most basic entry grade kit. MAD respect to this man. he deserves more.
This isn't just a hobby. This is art. This is a masterpiece.

Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to have a gundam. My cousin collects many of them and I got instantly hooked. At the time I could not afford any of them. I now have the winged gundam verion ka. I wanted to know everything about buliding my first gundam. This video help me greatly on what to expect. You listed out tools and the time for each steps. I'm ready to be a kid again!

That's why being a hobbyist is tough work, it's time consuming (and expensive most of the time) but they do it cause they like it

The amount of editing involved... Remember each snip he did he had to edit.
First time in my life that I've seen someone clean their parts using an ultrasonic cleaner.... =)
I got half-way through the video and a thought came into my head: This guy does this for himself and for video, hes not getting paid, and hes doing this in what I assume is his downtime between work and life. The 30hrs of sanding alone blew my mind, incredible dedication. I thought I was taking long when it took me 6hrs~ to build the Rx-78-2 MG Ver.2 in its entirety, but he spent grueling hours on the most minute of detail all for the passion of the hobby. At least he has likely the title for the most intense and thorough Gunpla builder on CZcams.
the sound from the video make me notice that the price are so expensive, that makes this hobby, build a gundam, its a elite unique hobby

Im beginning to see why theyre called mastergrade...
When i was a kid i thought i could build cool stuff like the pros if i had their 'special box' of kit, then i realized they used the same kit, they literally made the extra stuff and morphed the thing completely. This added a whole other level of fun for me.
Real Grades are harder in my opinion

@Evert van Dalen you built an SD kit, those are very simple. This here is a new grade; the MGEX, and it's hard, even for experienced builders. You'll be fine most HG, RG (newer ones, the old ones are straight up hand genders) and even MG's, but for the last one, I'd recommend at least some HG building experience

@Evert van Dalen if you arent into the building, then I think gunpla isnt really for you, but you could look into robot damashi figures if you like the look of gunpla (the end result)

As a wargamer, I literally can't imagine spending that much time on a single model. That's how long it took me to paint my entire army AND my girlfriend's army combined.
Me as a gundam modeler and now starting on Wargaming, I can't imagine spending that much money on a single mini (solos or chars) when I spend as much on MG gundam model or a couple of HGs
The trick for me is to 3D print my armies. ;)

The amount of editing required to show all the pieces being cut is just insane. I thought you would stop at the first tray, but you kept going all the way. Amazing job with the consistent editing too

As a newer builder I cut my pieces out as I go along. How do you remember what parts go with what especially with small parts
just sort them for each part of the MS. and then use the pictures, they are very detailed so its hard to no identify a piece.

these guys build the same model 2-3 even 10 times. Once you build a few, you get the pattern and idea

this is insanity. i don't have the patience to open the box, let alone work a 100 hours on clipping, scribing, sanding, cleaning, painting, assembling. this is a true artist at work on a labor of love. also great editing.

I’ve built enough Gundam at this point that I could build this, but definitely not on the commitment scale you have (i.e panel lining, painting, and scribing). Bravo to you good sir, you have a level of patience and attention to the tiniest details I will probably never have.
