    Thanks for the video. Getting and keeping my knives sharp has become a spinoff hobby from my carving. I actually enjoy working on my blades now, but honestly, it was quite frustrating at first. One needs to learn how to apex the edge (create a burr or wire edge) on a stone when you have a very dull knife. Then use the strop to finish. The strop won't sharpen a very dull knife. The strop is only for maintaining an already sharp blade.

    Whitt woods i made mine from thin bit of board it fits in my pouch with my barlow pocket knife leather i get free as its scrap ask a cobler shoe guy for scraps greetings from uk 👍🇬🇧🐾🦊

      @@whittlingwoods21 if you carve anything do like me do a swap give something you carved for scrap leather as for knives i get mine from butchers as they worn thin you only needs to chop shorter put warncliff point on remember to quench blade so you dont burn temper out you has a exellent carving knife for nothing 👍🇬🇧🐾🦊
