We dont get a 600cc bike at this price and tata is providing a great product that shelter from sun & rain and comfortabley carries four people.I think all its cons should b ignored.

A 2 Cylinder 37BHP Automatic car with a Sport mode button. + AC as standard..
What more do you need in a new car.

i have been driving nano for the past four years in mumbai and believe me there is no better option for milage than this little one gives. and what with new features it sure will be worth every penny.
What milaege you are getting in crowded city like mumbai?
Aryan Narula even in heavy traffic 18 to 20. and and just keep servicing every six month. runs with hardly any issues.

Can I just mention something about this Nano, TATA and the Indian auto industry in general? How nice it is to see that the Indians can come up with original design concepts. Okay, this car doesn't look a million miles apart from something Japanese for example, but it is definitely distinguishable, and certainly not following the rout of the Chinese of jut blatantly copying everything. For the price, this seems like a cracking little car and I think has a market in the UK for people who want a practical, genuinely affordable run around. It seems the quality of this is acceptable especially given the price. Put it this way, I would buy an Indian built car ever time over a Chinese built one, and the fact TATA are constantly giving it updates rather than resting on their morals tells me TATA have faith in their products and listen to what the consumer wants. Lovely little car, and not bad looking either !
Rightly said... also , I've driven the tata nano... it drives quite good for its price , has very comfortable seats, one of the best aircons and looks good on the road... looks like it would have a bright future in Eu of Tata can meet the safety norms on Europe ... by adding in a few airbags and Things like abs... nice innovation overall in my view..
Swift is a local vehicle now. I have BMW and Audi.
nah...that car got 0 in ncap crash testing...flips at the speed of 30( sharp turning ) goes from 0-100 in 29 seconds...over heats at the speed of 100...no airbags..yeah

I think nano should be revived with 800 cc engine bcoz it has space height everything. Just need little power for city commuting

Using Tata Nano twist xta since 4 years. Awesome car!
Being the owner of a Mercedes Benz I really desire the nano. You know that I might sound crazy but having only a highway cruiser is not enough so as for an maruthi Swift for the mileage it offers and for me who is being chauffeur driven as well as driving my fun to drive car it really sticks to get caught in traffic with a beemer or Porsche or Audi I would like to have a nano insured as it will be slow so you don't think man why do I have such a powerful car and cannot lay the throttle down.

- Looks better.
- Now has an open able boot.(Not much usable though)
- Great Space.(Four people seats more comfortably than a Swift)
- Terrific AC (believe me its better than Volkswagen Polo,Hyundai i20)
- Awesome driving position.
- Light Power steering.
- Nimble to drive and easy to park.
- Ground clearance of an SUV.
- Bluetooth enabled audio system(still lots of cars didn't have it.)
- and more . . . .
now point by point it can be compared to a car over 5 lacs , find out for yourself and you will come out WOWED !!!!
just need to shed the flaw of being a compromised car which embarrasses its buyer,which it had done pretty much by the AMT. . . . bigger wheels could be a cherry on the cake, but yeah we know the engine is same and that fuel efficiency ghost is India . . . .
Just can't help to ignore that scooter like sound of it though . . . . . . .

The music at the end of each video is very spooky .
Mahindra Shaan Tractor is 25BHP and has 750kg payload, and its a tractor, so does all jobs. 37BHP is more than enough for anything but only downside is speed. Anyways, when auto rickshaw without any interiors and roof costs 2Lakh+. So, TATA has pulled rabbit from HAT for the budget. Its worth like no other car in segment.

Mamy people are telling that it's sound like auto, but even volvo & scania buses are making more noice than regular leyland buses, the reason is volvo and scania's are rear engine vehicle same way nano also rear engine pal. We indian always celebrate foreign innovation and easily destroyed our own.
We would love for nano to arrive in africa specifically tanzanian car market as we love economical & reliable cars,, like this little nano

my first car will be Nano.
Cool, but its not an automatic, its a semiautomatic trans. Its an ordinary manual with servos, automated gearbox. Hope they soon build a fully CVT automatic trans, much more simpler and efficient .

Rather than buying 200cc bike if you had buy this nano then you can carry 4 person with no back pain. With roof on top protection from sun and rain. Now I can see people thinking rather than buying 2.5 lakh bullet we can buy second hand alto. Thay why ratan tata makes that. Only bad things is the marketing. i still believes the onlything the nano needs is a 3 cylinder "car" sounding engine. cut the rear hatch open, cut amt, cut al interior goodies, just get a car-sounding engine n aircon..n nano will sell like hot cakes

+zuber2002 it does not need 3cil's. Designing a new 3cil engine is a very expensive investment. In Europe the Citroen 2CV, the Fiat 500 and the BMW Isetta also had 2cil engines and performed the same duty for European people in the years after world war 2 ended.
maybe Tata can offer a Nano luxury sport model that has a turbo on it. 50% extra power would be easily achievable. Maybe they can also offer an aftermarket bolt on turbo-kit. A Nano Turbo, that would be cool!

I am very disappointed that the Nano failed to achieve it's full potential. And even more disappointed that the Nano was never exported over here to the UK where I live. I would have bought one as a work commuter car for definite.
