    This would be a million times better if it was electric. Would be smoother, so much quieter and cleaner, and faster, cheaper to run, require no maintenance, and it just makes perfect sense in an urban environment... And why would anyone buy this over the Nano if it's the same price or more expensive?!! I don't know why they put a gas engine in it, just makes no sense at all, it's not like this car is made for long trips or high speeds or needs a lot of range. God, it's SO noisy! Doesn't help the noise or air pollution problems in Indian cities at all :(

    I learnt driving on an ambassador. First rule of braking on drum brakes, you need to pump the brakes for effective braking. Crushing the pedal will not be good braking distance on drums. First you push the pedal half way down till it bites and breaks momentum then immediately push the pedal down full. I also use Tata nano till date for my local commuting and it uses the same braking rules. My Vista and Chevy uses disc brakes where crushing the pedal is justified.

    Tata Nano is a way better option because:
    1. Peak power is not 13 BHP but 32 BHP
    2. Better sound insulation
    3. Tata Nano can be bought as a personal vehicle, but this car can be only bought as a commercial vehicle.
    4. The Nano has wayyyyyyy better creature comforts with climate control.
    5. The Nano looks cute but this looks like it has been punched by Thanos 700 times then left for dead in an acid bath with smelly tuna fish in it.

    I don't get why Indians diss this vehicle (which is vaguely not a car after all).
    It's unfair to compare it with small cars because it is essentially a four-wheeled motorcycle. It's an upgrade from scooters and motorcycles.
    Vehicles like these will sell fairly well here in Southeast Asia, since we share the same climate and terrain. Heck, if I'm on the lookout for a motorcycle and this quad's price is just a little higher I'd go for it since you won't get wet in the rain and you have more space. The fuel economy is obviously better than a small car.
    Indian manufacturers have better, more practical vehicle solutions than the Chinese. I hope you would take a more aggressive step outside your country and offer your vehicles especially to more emerging markets. It won't be easy at first, but look at where the Koreans are now compared to when they started.

  • @Shetty404
    @Shetty404 Před 5 lety +3

    People criticizing about this vehicle should know these points first,
    ➡ It's not even a car, it's a quadricycle (four-wheeled motorcycle)
    ➡ It surely won't be available for private use
    ➡ It will be a replacement for auto-rickshaws as it is said to be a commercial vehicle
    ➡ There is meaning to compare this with a small car like Nano because as said, it isn't one.
    I personally kind of think that this will be a bit better replacement for an auto-rickshaw, unless the rickshaw drivers get used to driving these quadricycles.
    Edit: And yes! The prices need to be lowered, a LOT!

    • @kumar1400
      @kumar1400 Před 5 lety +1

      I only want this on Indian Road, to just get rid of auto-rickshaws. Because the rickshaws are really a messed-up and not following traffic road vehicle. This might help to regulate the India traffic. That is the only good thing, which i wish from long time. This has to be a game changer.

    At 542 kgs, it comes within 100kgs of Renault Kwid (630kg), nonetheless, the SEQUENTIAL gearbox would be fun to MODIFY, imagine the power to weight ratio with a 1.5 litre engine infused sleeper?

    I kind of liked it despite its shortcomings, as this "4-wheeler auto" space is quite vacant and is up for grabs since quite sometime now. Unless something comes up which is adopted by these auto drivers, not much of innovation would come up in terms of comfort & safety in this price range. So, the more the adoption, the more would be the safety and comfort in the coming models.

    My Nano feels like a Rolls Royce when compared to this! And it cost me just 2.6 lakhs when I bought it back in 2013. The Qute actually makes me think what a brilliant job Tata has done. The Nano's one box design is futuristic, if you ask me, and it sounds like a car should. This one sounds like it's got a faulty mixie at the back, and it looks totally comical. A quadricycle for 2.6 lakhs? Well, Bajaj can kiss goodbye to its dreams of private consumers wanting to buy this. This one is good just as a public carrier with its massive storage space.

    Its an good option to replace auto with Qute in terms of safety and running cost. Company should look into electric version of this also . Ola and Uber can add these in there fleet for the people who has small pocket for hiring an car.
