Hi! We are Laura & Jonas, a Belgian couple living on the Estonian island Saaremaa. Here we are in the process of building up a permaculture-inspired farmstead from scratch.

I was looking for passive solar greenhouses, because I have an off-grid old farmhouse in Saaremaa as well, and somehow came across your channel (because the channel name was somewhat familiar). Already loving the clay plaster and the number of windows on your cabin, so most likely going to use your channel for a bit of inspiration in the future as well. Good luck!

@@The.Land.of.Slow.Living Located in Laimjala. And actually we don't use any energy there. I'm planning to set up solar panels this year or maybe the next. As we only live there for some short period in the summer - it should suffice. Although i've been thinking about wind energy as well, since we are very close to the sea, but it seems more costly.
I love the update video. I can wait to see what you both can accomplish on the next year. I'm also turning my home into a food forest 😊

Want ik denk dat jullie video's voor veel mensen heel waardevol zouden zijn. Dus zoiets als Viibemaa - living off grid in Estonia. Hi, I love your channel I watch it for hours when I'm off work. You have a beautiful life and it's so great that you are sharing that with us. I have to ask a question and excuse my ignorance please. How does the seaweed not introduce salt to the ground when you use it for mulch in your garden? Do you have to rinse it? Or is it not an issue?
Thank you for watching! Water in the baltic sea doesn't have a high salt content + we take it home after a rain so it is rinsed properly :)
How do you find the land? I do not know how to. Could you please share with me🌝
we mostly checked www.kv.ee when looking for properties here in Estonia

Thanks for video. Did Jonas fully recovered? Is he ok now? And just a suggestion, if you want more subscribers, unfortunately you need more videos. It means way more work on that. You need at least one video a weak if you want that youtube's algorithm found you...
