Parliamentarians are supposed to represent the interests of their constituents. But a new study conducted in collaboration with the University of St. Gallen shows that when conflicts of interest arise, politicians tend to prioritise the interests of their donors. In the video, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Matter from the School of Economics and Political Science at the University of St. Gallen explains the role of the media in this process.
