- From movies and TV to recordings and live concerts, music lovers are just wild about Harry Connick Jr. - and nowhere more so than in his hometown of New Orleans. That's where correspondent Michelle Miller spoke with him about his efforts to preserve his beloved city and its musical heritage.
A goddess. God bless him. From 1987 to 1992 this man was perfect.
There are many videos of Harry when he was a child prodigy, playing the piano in large venues. I love seeing those. And hearing him as a teenager speaking about music and its place in his life is dynamite stuff. He was precociously articulate. A young man who clearly had a successful future ahead of him.

CBS news should have checked out his native of New Orleans biography a little more carefully. In truth, he's a native of Weston, Connecticut. He lived in Weston, CT most of his youth. He attended public school in Weston from 1970-1982, twelve years. He's pictured in all of the Weston Public School yearbooks from 1970-1982. In the 1982 edition, he's pictured under his name, Harry Connick Jr, but without a date of graduation. He was the only student in the 1982 Weston class who failed to graduate. He later had to get his high school diploma from Briggs Vocational High School in Norwalk, CT, which has lower academic than Weston High School. The old DA from New Orleans is not his real father. His real father is or was one of the top guys at Sony Music and a stockholder in Sony Pictures. He bought stock in Sony Pictures before they stated making movies, when it was cheap. His real father himself had a in career show business, where he appeared under the stage name Frankie Vaughan, made Let's Make Love with Yves Montand and Marilyn Monroe as well as The Great Escape. As Frankie Vaughan, Connick Jr's real father had a singing career, released a few albums, owned a small record company that was bought out by Sony Music. They kept him on in some capacity and that allowed Harry Jr to have a career in show business as well. I was disappointed when The Today how sent him, a phony native of New Orleans, as their correspondent after Hurricane Katrina, but the truth has to come out about him, sooner or later. Why on earth does he have to lie to the entire planet about coming from some place he doesn't? Isn't that fraud?

Man, he would be unable to create an entire fake history of being from New Orleans. His father is famous as long time District Attorney. He studied with these great Jazz artists, he got married in St. Louis Cathedral. He lives in New Orleans part time even now. Man, you must be smoking something.
