Cumberland Falls Native American History

  • Cumberland Falls in the Daniel Boone National Forest our family's trip to see the falls and we learned some very interesting information on the Native American's that walked this land we did a little exploring and found some Bear tracks and did some artifact looking along a short walk along the Cumberland river were we saw a bear and a trip to the gift shop and a raft ride up to the face of the falls a very cool family time together on august 16th 2014

      thanks Tom you are most welcomed glad you liked it and yes they will always remember i was 16 going on 17 when i first went to see Niagara Falls and i never forgot my time there we also rode on the Maid of the Mist Boat it was very cool experience

    I know its been 8 years but... Any way you could do more Cumberland Falls lore? I live in the area and would love to join. Nonetheless, love your enthusiasm.

    Really nice place to go for a trip looked like lots of fun beautiful views and history , I wouldn't be checking out any caves especially with bears around lol ,thanks for sharing with us .

      Thanks my Friend for your view and Comment we really enjoyed our time there well on the bear part i agree with you on that but yogi the Bear had stole our picnic basket and his little friend Boo boo Bear got our table cloth well after we had determined the direction ( first time we had ever seen Bear Tracks ) we decided too High tail it out of the Area and let Ranger Smith do his job arresting those varmints lol

    Hey Flinthead, great trip your family made to the Cumberland Falls. The view at 8:50 is Stellar for sure! What a site ... The river view looking at the dwelling sites was very special and could visualize the Native Americans busy at work doing chores and smoky fires burning along the river bank!

      thanks Erle very glad you like the video we really enjoyed our time there it reminded me of Niagara Falls i saw Niagara when i was 17 a long time ago lol but i still remember it to this day and it was very interesting to learn the Native American History of the falls and area and i to was thinking of their life's and how they lived there and what they were doing while they lived there so many years ago very cool experience

    Awesome place man! Cool history too! Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett have ties to this part of Tn! Always cool to learn about! Good luck!
