36 Degrees lyrics:
[Verse 1]
We were tight, but it falls apart as silver turns to blue
Waxing with a candlelight, and burning just for you
Allocate your sentiment, and stick it in a box
I've never been an extrovert, but I'm still breathing
[Chorus]
Someone tried to do me ache
Someone tried to do me ache
Someone tried to do me ache (it's what I'm afraid of)
Someone tried to do me ache (it's what I'm afraid of)
[Verse 2]
With hindsight, I was more than blind, lost without a clue
Thought I was getting carat gold, and what I got was you
Stuck inside the circumstances, lonely at the top
I've always been an introvert
Happily bleeding
[Chorus]
Someone tried to do me ache
Someone tried to do me ache
Someone tried to do me ache (it's what I'm afraid of)
Someone tried to do me ache (it's what I'm afraid of)
[Outro]
4 7 2 3 9 8 5 - I gotta breathe to stay alive
And 1 4 2 9 7 8 - feels like I'm gonna suffocate
14 16 22 - this skin that turns to blister blue
Shoulders toes and knees, I'm 36 degrees
Shoulders toes and knees,I'm 36 degrees
Shoulder toes and knees, I'm 36 degrees
Shoulders toes and knees, I'm 36 degrees
Shoulder toes and knees, I'm 36 degrees
Shoulder toes and knees, I'm 36 degrees - Hudba
This made me remember when I was around 8yo and my mom would put this best off placebo CD in the car full speed windows open, i was feeling like the coolest kid on earth.
You were, bro.
amazing story...
Same 🥰 she would also blast them when she would clean the house. still love listening to them till this day!
Your Mom👍🌹
You were the coolest kid. And your mom was the coolest mom.
Proud to be the one giving you the 100th thumbs up, btw. 😀
My favorite Placebo song. I've been a fan for 15 years now. I was a teenager and everyone was into music. I kind of listened to ska, because my sister did, but didn't love it. I felt embarrassed because I was lying when people asked me what kind of music I liked. Then my friend played Pure Morning and something hit. I bought the CD on a whim, and played it all weekend. I had found the music I loved, and through them became a fan of the Smiths and the Cure, and developed my own taste. Of course, I had a huge crush on Brian Molko and bought the Velvet Goldmine, and the CD for the movie (his cover of 20th Century Boy and The Whole Shebang were my favorites.) I wasn't able to see them live for three years, but it was fine.
There was no CZcams then, so I would wait an entire day on Napster to watch a video. Very few people in the US listened to Placebo, so they weren't in our magazines- I would buy any article I could find on Ebay. It was harder being a fan then, not just of Placebo, but any not mainstream band, but it was beautiful because every little thing was precious. Falling asleep to Without You I'm Nothing on my walkman at summer camp, running to beat while the lyrics Every You and Every Me played in my head during track practice, putting on a top hat and reenacting Brian's scene from the Velvet Goldmine. It was being a teenager, and it was magnificent.
I grew up in Scotland and still love placebo to this day i was a teenager in that era too!loved it.
Im a fan for over 20 years they are amazing,
this gave me goosebumps as if Id feel your nostalgia
what can I say if I have the same feeling I was a teenager so lonely so depressed until I knew this band until I heard every song of them I love placebo and thats the kind of music what I live for 💓
The ending of this song is one of the most powerfull sounds in rock history.
I remember being 21 yrs old singing along "i've always been an introvert happily bleeding...'' because no one EVER described me better.
the line “thought i was getting carat gold, and what i got was you” gives me fucking chills whenever i hear it
This line gets the whole song another level
Funny thing I learned panning for gold there's lots of pretty sparklies, you see you can watch them float away. The gold stays in the pan. They call it fool's gold for a reason.
Maybe im just old, but the 90's was the last great decade to be a teenager. The last great decade of music
So true
Absolutely.
Lo bueno que le veo ami generación es que tengo todo el catalogo para formar mis propios recuerdos🤘🌷
80's first🤪 👍🎹 🎶 🎵
@@GarryShepherdDreamGazePostPunk 80 was great, the best live band in the world hails from that decade. .The Cure! (Technically from the 70s, but you know..)
i swear since the first time i heard this song i can play it over and over and still feels like the first time.
im 20 yrs old and just discovered this band in 2024... where has this been my whole life
Enjoy.... listened to this as a teen and it just takes me straight back
Best Placebo song. It stood out in a full pop era.
I think this will always be up there in my absolute favourite Placebo songs. I love singing along.
I was 17 when I first heard this song, just as the album was released. I felt more vital and alive then than I ever have since, and this song - and several others on the debut album - take me right back. It's quite a mixture of emotions it provokes! Amazing song, however and whenever you might have found it.
it's amazing how much they have changed and yet still have not lost their music, so true to themselves. they are definitely good at what they do.
como me encanta esta rola su riff es fantástico
I was so in love with this band when I was a teen. I saw them live 2 times and it was like a dream coming true.
Still one of the top 10 best bands of all time, and their first album is still one of their best. Such a unique band.
I adore this song .
Placebo kick serious ass, shame on me for not having seen them live
Christopher Howe one of my greatest regrets too.
Colleen Howe he sf
i was 20 metres away from the venue they were supposed to be playing at when i found out their concert was cancelled cos brian was sick. i was fucking devastated, worst couple of days in my life cos two days before i got screwed over by a girl.
I saw them live in 2014 it the greatest day of my life!!! Best concert ever! If you ever get the chance to see them I promise you will NOT regret it at all!
Saw them in 2010. Was good.
This song is so stunning 😮💨
Such a treat. I have heard this one thousands of times over the past 17 years. It never gets boring.
This song makes me remember someone... Who no longer remembers me.
That's deep.
"We were tight, but it falls apart as silver turns to blue..."
This intro just give me chills
feel like an emo teenager with this song
Me too. Was 14 and loving it. Im 35 and still love it
Nada que ver
I feel like someone getting older
I’m one now- 14
I was 16
my eight year old sister loves this song, and this band, i'm so proud
Love the drumming
Bringing back good memories of my teenager life back in the days.
2024 and still rocking this 💥💥💥
Never gets old! Listening this when needed, when angry and emotional! For the last 20-25 years!
one word: Perfection
Takes me back! Simply one of the greats it has to be said. Love the nostalgia.
I've always been an introvert, happily bleeding.
What does that even mean? Brian Molko is hardly an introvert.
me too..but im happy being me
Yeah, I hear cutting is a hard habit to break.
Maybe he's describing his experiences with passive sodomy. He does like it packed good and tight, right?
@@briancrawford8751 that sounds a bit too specific and personal to be anything other than anecdotal experience. Hahahaha mazel tov.
Conocí a Placebo por mi primo Pedro. Fue lo mejor que pudo enseñarme. Muchas gracias hasta el cielo Pedrito!
I love this song so much,it never gets old!

The best álbum, amazing song !!!🖤🖤🖤
I love this song!
Only placebo can play and sing underwater without the least distortion in the sound.
2019 and im still loving this song
Heard on WBER 90.5 good song great radio station
I can’t listen to this song without being covered head to toe in chills.
With hindsight I was more than blind, lost without a clue
Thought i was getting carrot gold and what i got was you
Fantastic lyric
They've always been so awesome... It's incredible how I can relax by watching this twisted video!
Awesome music video idea. This is my favorite from Placebo.

This is still one of my absolute favorites by them.
This was the song my friend played for me and I am still listening to them, many years after I was introduced to them.
One of my favorite tracks.

i love placebo with my heart! without them i wouldnt have found my voice to sing and now i can sing n.n practice can pay off
Don't even litter this video with "i want the old placebo" comments. This video and song, are to beautiful for that kind of shit.
i want the old placebo
I love it!!
i want the old Placebo back please!
Pure Gold
Placebo kick serious ass, shame on me for not having seen them live

one word: Perfection
I think this will always be up there in my absolute favourite Placebo songs. I love singing along.
love this video
Музыка Placebo никогда не приедается, не надоедает, в отличие от других групп
I love the lyrics
Just here for the mad riff and burn of that 2nd verse guitar.
The guitar in"..thought I was getting carrot gold.." part
Beautiful video--didn't even know this was up. Love Placebo, love Brian, who looks gorgeous here. Keep being awesome!
I've never been an extrovert, but I'm still breathing!
Stillhits deeply, remember listening to this
2019??
💕Brian I love you💕
I adore this song .
Qué buena música hace esta banda ojalá los tiempos de ahora se parecieran más a los de antes
Amo está canción 💓
love song
Esta bien chida.
Justamente esperaba ver el comentario de un mexicano
The memories. Still make me shiver. First time I knew who I actually was.x
According to an article in a Russian scientific magazine a few yrs ago if you could maintain a body temp of 36 instead of 37 then one would live to over a 100 yrs old.
Yeah,i actually heard about that too .
you know the song means Fahrenheit not Celsius right. because those are both way below human body temperature and your skin and muscles would wearout way faster pluss your body would take way longer to repair its self you'd also be unable to fight off infections.
+Jonathan Wheeler I heard that if you could have a heart like a Tortoise, you would live to around 200!
who would want to live that long anyway
+Jeremy Smith In celcius, at least, it's a mere degree under, within the normal range
Since the CD booklet didn't feature the lyrics and English is not my first language I misheard the lyrics as: "Someone tried a tummy ache" and "Someone tried to do a yank". I later found out a "yank" is a New Yorker, but I thought someone tried to quickly pull hard at something. Needless to say when internet came around and I looked up the lyrics neither mishearing was true.
Tengo una adiccion a Placebo! Terribleee!
Has placebo ever made a bad song? Nope.
+Haley Stinson their every me and every you from the mtv unplugged set is (IMO) unlistenable, not bad going though because I love basically everything else of theirs.
+Gar Kordanus are you kidding? the lyrics are good
I just don't like Monster Truck
they are easily the best emo band =)
Gary Carlyle emo band? are you sure?
one of my favorites*w*!!!!!!!
Loooooove it!!!!!!
