- This is the dumbest comment ever left on my channel. Someone is convinced they've been racing with me on iRacing for the past year, and that a ring of people have supposedly had to file numerous protests against me for being a giant asshole. Implying my shitty CZcams channel is all a front to cover for how much of a disaster I am behind the scenes.
The plot twist? I haven't played iRacing in any capacity since August 2019, this person didn't sign up for the game until July 2020 and couldn't possibly have encountered me before, let alone have any sort of vested interest in spreading these rumors due to being so new to sim racing. And as you can imagine, my stats across multiple racing sims make me the worst candidate possible to fit the bill of "problematic user."
This somehow didn't deter them from inorganically trying to create the absolute most nonsensical rumor about myself I've ever read. This surpasses things ex-girlfriends have said in a manic state and honestly you would have had more success had you pretended to be her and slide in the comments.

There are tons of videos out there about how to 'beat' the delivery algorithm to make more money.
They are all 100% woowoo but SO many believe in it with a religious fervor it is astounding.

As a web QA engineer, the iracing stalker video that you did were great to think about GDPL to digital projects in general. Was a great video. Never thought about the problems of using a real name.
MAD respect for having an iRating that high. Especially in those super late models. I’m still struggling to not get DQ’d! I feel like a moron when I cause a caution because of my own lack of skill, but most drivers are patient.

Somewhat off topic but if you do get access to iRacing at some point I think you'd find the AI racing is worth checking out. It's definitely not perfect but it's in my opinion considerably better than what most other sims have to offer at the moment, especially the oval racing. I think it's at least almost NR2003 good, it just has a few annoying flaws that I hope they fix at some point. It's basically the only reason I'm subscribed to iRacing now. I've also created a bunch of AI rosters that are available on the forums, 2022 NASCAR Cup, 2022 Indycar, 2022 Supercars Australia, and a bunch of other stuff and they're all really high quality. But I don't race online at all anymore, I don't need the pressure and bullshit drama that I see on CZcams all the time. I'm just trying to get stoned and pretend I'm racing against a full field of real NASCAR drivers for some back marker team
AJ's attitude is partly why I left the service a couple years ago.....well primarily because I can't justify the cost, but otherwise I find the culture to be strange and off-putting. Great vid, man. Just a sim-racing casual from Toronto who stumbled on one of your vids. Cheers.

I’ve been on iRacing for several years and I can confirm there are a ton of dickheads on iRacing and the driving isn’t as realistic as I would hope. I am fully convinced driving a iRacing stock car is harder than driving one in real life even factoring in G forces.
Never change man, I’ve been really digging your content and I believe you have the potential to become a big CZcamsr in the sim racing scene.

@@StudioDaVeed I feel like you would be able to work your way up to speed with them a good bit quicker than someone with no experience whatsoever, but yeah. With the tire model giving stupid slip angles and thus unrealistic traction loss, iRacing definitely makes it difficult to drive these cars on the edge every lap and be competitive. At least in the real thing, you have tires that work, plus you can feel what the car is doing from the seat.

Weregonnalose pretty much exposed how serious people take it and the things they say back to him, which ironically could get them arrested. He's not even that bad when he took it serious under his real name. Just too many people in lower ranks who think they'll be the next Earnhardt or at this point Byron just because they won a few computer games
I'm glad I mostly do AI races now in both iRacing and ACC. Mainly because the rating system is whacked and dumb shit like this happens. Even if the bots try and kill me in a race I wouldn't unhinged.

I have to 100% agree with you and everyone else. I've been on iRacing for a little over a year, and you end up racing some of the most toxic and disgusting people, unfortunately. If you watch any one of my videos, there's a really good chance of this being showcased. Even in some of my earlier videos, you can hear me going down that same path. It took me watching a replay of an NIS race I ran to realize what I was becoming and put a stop to it. All of that aside, I greatly enjoy iRacing, almost to a fault. Yeah, you get some dicks and you get some really bad seeds (because it doesn't start as an apple). But more often than not, I have been in some really friendly races, where yeah, one dude might get pissy cause he got wrecked, but for the most part everyone is having a good time. I think it's partly a perspective issue as well. Because if you're like me and you realize that you'll likely be stuck under 2k irating your whole life, it's a lot easier to enjoy and laugh off the stupidity.
its not only on iracing. its in general. the amound of people that i had to work with with over the last year or so that just talk bullshit and lies about their personal life is insane. like sure pal you are 20 years old never really worked and make 1.200 bucks a month and you tell me you bought an audi for 4k from your friend who wanted to sell it for like 12k and then i find out that you dont even have a drivers licence. like people make up all kinds of shit just to seem importand or whatever maybe impress others. its so wierd tbh.
Yep I used to work with a guy who turned out to be a pathological liar. He just flat out enjoyed lying to make himself look good and he lied about practically every single aspect of his life. It was unreal to me how someone can get a rise out of that.

Going by Linkedin they have now lost cfo, director of marketing, director of publishing, head of legal, head of production, vp of studios, head of studio 397, director of sales, art director, technical director and many others in less that a year. Who is even left? All public info, if you do a thorough linkedin search you can build a much more complete list. Also the release about borrowing money from the parent company to stay alive.

First time viewer. Great topic! I think the answer most likely has more to do with youtube, than any game. The internet is toxic, too many people who see others doing what they can't, or won't, get jealous. Add on top of that your stats in these games, which are pretty amazing honestly, and you become the target of someone weirdo, who wants to do what they can to cancel you, simply because you're doing more than they can or will. Me: Hasn't turned a lap in iR since 2008, is not surprised this community can be a joke. It was a joke at times in NR2003, and 2002 before that. I was always put off by how iR deliberately and purposely tried to kill, and eventually succeeded at, the NR2003 post Papyrus shut down community. I have no doubt they make a fantastic product compared to the options out there, but it's still a good number of Internet trolls who like to wreck people, cause problems or think they're the next Billy Byron because, reasons.

Iracing has the most victims of the sunken cost fallacy. So many people drop hundreds on virtual cars and thousands on sim gear to hopefully have some racing team manager notice them, and it’s absolutely ridiculous. God forbid you tell them that iracing doesn’t exactly give a flying fuck about them and they won’t go any further than little Timmy with his G29 wheel, using a lawn chair as his sim rig, and they’ll go into a huge tiff how “Real racers use this as a training tool” and how “it’s not a game, ITS A SIMULATION!!”. They’ll cry and cry and cry until they get bored and go back to seething at drifters because they can’t save an oversteer on iracing even if their life depended on it. Their excuse for it being that the impossible oversteer save is ReALisTiC!!

Plus we already live in a kind of "post truth" world so even if he was someone reputable I would still hold strongly to innocence until proven guilty.

Yeah the real name thing on iRacing is crazy. It definitely made me hesitant to sign up when I did try it and I don't think I'm ever going back as long as they use real names. Not that it's a huge deal to me, but the product is already shitty and exposing myself to personal risk for such a dumb reason is not something I'm going to do.

Well, considering my SR just went down a ton because of lap 1 incidents and people who don't respect space, I figured iRacing isn't the way to go in the near future. Heck, even Raceroom has better overall racing for less!

I just flat out don't play sim racers online, because I see a lot of drama and huge egos / superiority complexes over others who don't care as much about sim racing, I usually play offline, and just watching the people who do a bunch of sim racing online get butthurt and invent drama like that commenter did is comedy gold to me.
Stalking is never justified.
But I also, in years on iRacing, have never had a bad incident of harassment or rudeness last for longer than 45 minutes after the session ends.
I don't think stalking is a common problem on the service, although I could be wrong.
there is someone with the same name as you on iracing, same name and focuses like your account does mainly on oval racing. its probably them that they have protested and theyve just assumed its you instead (i dont know why i got recommended a year old video, but just incase you didnt know)

Welcome to modern racing games. Difficulty for no reason is "realism". Stalking is encouraged over little nothings, and criticism of the games is illegal. Boy capitalism sure is swinging hard these days.
I have all but stopped running official races in favor of messing with Offline stuff. it's honestly much more fun to screw around racing AI than it is getting wrecked by Cooter McGee in his Dael scheme that he found on TP and only wants to race the A-Class cup series but cant because he's stuck at D-class not understanding that the Phrase "Rubbin's Racin" isnt meant for drivers to use that as an excuse for diving a corner half way back on the straights and taking half the field out in the process.
This is obviously an extreme example but quite honestly the races can barely run 5 laps under green on average in short tracks. even if you're not the one in all the BS, it's just annoying doing pace laps constantly

The stats drill home how dumb it is to accuse the guy with a 4.99 SR, who has spent 50% of his time on the service in the lead and not racing any other cars, of intentionally wrecking people. It is statistically impossible.
