Can you make a tutorial video on how to start cash stuffing and sinking funds for beginners? I know it’s probably pretty self explanatory but we’ve gotten conditioned to paying our bills due in our pay period versus splitting them up, and we are trying to become more mindful of our spending and find financial freedom. I love your system
Yes!!
This was so useful as we do buy online/use card often. So, Emily, do u just round up what u paid to avoid dealing with coins/cents? Thank u!
Great video! Thank you!! That’s the goal to be wise and generous with it! 💵
This was incredibly helpful, thank you for sharing. 💓💓💗💗💕💕
Love your online spending system! 💕💕💕
Thank you! 🤍 I hope it blesses you!
great tip! will be implementing this my system
I really enjoyed it very calming actually and love your A5 binder. 💚
Thank you!
Loved 🥰 your video. It’s fun watching all your beautiful 😍 envelopes and binders.
Awe thank you!! 🥰
Great way to keep track of everything! For now I have an online system but I'm really considering starting cash stuffing, so this is helpful to use both ways actually!
Yes this can work even just as a tracking system!
After looking through so many budgeting bundles and buying many that I did not like. I just purchased your bundle and I am in love and will use everything!! Thank you!
This 110% made my day! 🥰🙌🏼 cheering you on, friend!!!
great video! I like these types. 😊
Thank you!!! 🤍
Really enjoyed seeing your process for online spending & how you track it!
Thank you!!
Ok i like this way of paying from cash envelopes
It just makes it so much less confusing! 😅
question: do you have a buffer in the bank so you don't over draw your account? Working with a zero based budget I was under the assumption nothing was in the bank except things that are withdrawn automatically.
Yes we keep a buffer for a lot of reasons, but that is also one of them! A zero-based budget doesn't mean your bank account is at $0, it just means that you give every dollar from each paycheck a job - even if that job is to act as a buffer in your bank account.
I always start with our income, subtract our bills, then with what you have left after bills are paid you can delegate to certain categories (groceries, gas, clothing, other sinking funds, savings, debt, etc.) until every dollar has a job.
Hope this helps!
😊 I purchase it yesterday, I wanted A5 but came up a little smaller print on my printer. Did play around, and for some reason b5 for perfectly for my A5 binder.Currently cutting the bottom and right side off the A4 paper while watching this 😊😊
Printers and sizing have always confused me 🤣
If you know it’s an item or category that you always typically use your debit card for (for example, if you buy your pet food online) can you just skip the cash stuffing for that category?
Yea, you can also buy the A5 paper with holes punched at Amazon, too…just saying…
Yup I think I mention that in the video ☺️
Just came across your channel. I love the clean lines. What do you do about bills/debt and determining what to stuff each paycheck?
Welcome to the channel!! I have a video on how to do a zero based budget, that's how I decide how much to stuff!
Here's the link (I hope it helps)!! czcams.com/video/Jpmr8vF0e_4/video.html
Thank you for sharing. I love seeing these types of video because it’s similar to how I do my own budgeting. Since you mentioned it be an option, I love if you did decide to add printed versions on your website.
Thank you so much for the feedback!! I’m thinking I’m going to do that 🥰
I love this idea for online shopping! However, I travel for work and am no where near my local bank (not nationally recognized) which stinks so I just end up using my credit card for online purchases 😅
This works with a credit card too! Just deposit the cash and use it to pay off your credit card 🤍
I just don’t trust myself with a credit card 🙈😅
But i have zero debt and learned to controll my spendings and stay in budget
That’s awesome 👏🏼
Thank you for sharing this! I am new to cash budgeting and easy wondering how I'd work out online shopping.
My other question would be how do you have enough money to cover the purchases before you put the cash back in? Do you have a buffer or minimum you keep in your checking??
Yes! We keep a buffer in our checking account for online spending!
It started off as a buffer for when we first started cash stuffing because we forgot automatic payments for some things at first, but once we got a grip on that, we just use it as a buffer now 🤍
I don’t trust myself with a credit card so I’d rather borrow from myself 🤪
Loved the video! I do this too, but it’s hard sort of for me because of the cents. If you spend $20.65 do you round up to $21? or $20?
I always round up! So in that example I would round up to $21 🤍
Emily, with this system, do you find you are going to the bank frequently to deposit/withdraw? Love the videos, I recently purchased a bundle from you and can't wait to start using it!
Yay!! I can’t wait to get your order sent out! Got another 10 done today so I feel like I’m making a small dent 😅
I go to the bank once a week! I deposit my cash into the ATM (so I don’t confuse myself 🫠) and then usually go in and get my cash for cash stuffing 🤍
@theaestheticdollar how complicated. So you first deposit the money just to withdraw it again? Why just only withdrawing the difference? For example you spend 200 bucks online and need 400. Keep 200 in cash at home and just pull out 200 out of the bank? Makes more sense. That's the reason I've now stopped using cash envelopes. I switched to debit again but with tracking.
Hi. I just started following you. I really like your shop and I’m considering getting the binders. But I do have a question. Will you ever do custom envelopes? I’m trying not to buy another set of envelopes (although now that I found you, I like your so more). Also, will you ever do a mini binder set? That would be perfect for errands.
Hope this finds you. Be blessed.
Yes! They went out of stock within a few days when I first launched my shop but they’re re-stocking at the end of January 🤍
@@theaestheticdollar can’t wait!!
Can you share your Amazon favorites links? Thank you!
I haven’t made one yet! It’s on my list of things to do 😅
So you save a month ahead ?
When you shop in person do you categorize what you spent through the receipt or do you categorize at the register?
I always do it later at home 🖤
I’m new to this method and was wondering how much of a buffer I should keep in my checking account?
It just depends on your situation and your personality style! I’d you’re a “safety and security” person, you’ll feel better with more of a buffer than someone who isn’t 🤍
Really dumb question here but where is the cash in the tray coming from? In other words, how are you able to make change?
I take it out of my savings challenges!
Hi! I’m still scouring your channel and watching all the videos, but I’m wondering if you would suggest this same kind of method if my bank doesn’t have a branch around me at all? Would you do the same thing and then deposit the money via a banking app using a money order? Or just “roll” or recycle the physical cash into the next week? Would you open an account with a different bank and transfer to withdraw and deposit there? Do you have any other suggestions for cash stuffing without a physical bank or branch ATM nearby?
Prop bills
So do you leave a buffer in your checking account to pay up front for items like this? And then just essentially pay yourself back? Or do you use a credit card?
We have a buffer in our checking account! I will never have another credit card ever again because I can’t be trusted with them 🤣
I use a similar method except I pay with my credit and unstuff the money from my envelopes to pay it off. But be very careful because using credit cards can be risky if you’re an impulse buyer (I’m in recovery lol)
Same! In recovery 😂
Hello, autumn @budgetingafter40 sent me. I wish she had sent me sooner. Lol. I am a fairly new budgeter, I can't do downloads, but I love all you all do. Please continue to stay safe, and God Bless.
Welcome to the channel!! I love Autumn! 🥰
@The Aesthetic Dollar Me too. When she launched her honey, I ran to buy it and put one in my first giveaway. She is such an amazing, lovely person. I hope you have a blessed day.
