Most interesting.. Thank you John. And for all the Intaf guys for their service.. Respect under difficult circumstances..
Great story from John, who I was with in IANS 2 and then was in Mash West Province. Brings back so many memories, especially the Op Interface patrols with Phsycops with John More. Thanks for another great interview
Really good talk, thanks to both; looking forward to the next part. 👍
What an incredible interview. Thank you so much, John for taking the time to share your experiences with all of us.
Great interview Tony and John
Very sad to hear the details of Tony Templemore-Walters. He was a friend, a kind and gentle personality who always had time for everyone. I believe he suffered from his wounds and never fully recovered. RIP Tony

Thanks for another awesome interview with men of Rhodesia bush war years. Talking about that UFO in 1974, I was on guard duty that night. I had just started my 22:00-23:59 shift and I was serving with JOC HQ Mount Darwin Army Camp. It was after 10:15 that night, and I had mentioned this incident to a few people who were coming out of the Clubhouse, anyway, I reported this to our Signals Room and reported these very bright lights in the distance. I established and confirm that they could not be flares or aircraft. Anyway, I watched this for about 20 minutes, as these lights would move so fast from one side to the other and back again several times. At that time I had a few cameras, but would never have captured this event. Well, after witnessing this, my next R&R I purchased a Soligor 400 mm lens with a 3X converter to add to my camera equipment. Since then, I have had 2 more encounters with UFO’s and caught with having my cameras on hand.
I’ve always wondered why UFO’s needed lights ? Lol. I believe you John. A group of us saw something up in Kurdistan
Great first interview. If you read the comments on my talk on my kotwa ufo it seems that period had a fair bit of ufo activity in the north east.
FMR episode 34 I think.
Maybe they left joe Biden behind in the USA
Ha! And the other one, trump. Although they got the skin colour wrong on that one.
I like John, because he’s a Transvaal rugby supporter! Good man! ;)
My father was in INTAF from 77-80, Tony Creaven.

Thank you Tony and John. John, my heart jumped when you said your younger brothers name was David. I realised then that our folks were actually good friends and remembered that I was once at your folks' house in Gwelo for a get-together. I was still in primary school. Do you remember the Naudés from Gwenora dam and the Johnsons? I am looking forward to the rest of your story. Regards, David Naude
