  • Removing storm damaged and overgrown Bradford Pear trees from a small farm with the Intimidator tree and post puller.
Bradford Pear trees may be prone to breaking limbs in high winds, but they don’t give up easily. They actually store energy in their roots, which allows them to regrow even after being cut down. New shoots can sprout from the stump or elsewhere along the roots. So, you need to remove the root system quickly before it can regrow. Removing the entire stump is the only option.
In this video, we used the Intimidator attachment on a skid steer to dig around the stump, loosening any difficult roots. We also removed another tree by rocking it back and forth until it could be pulled free from the ground.
