In the past you had to stand out as all were trying to stand out in the 60s and 70s. 80s is when things broke down and at the time it brought a new wave of amazing stuff as the bands were still good. Some managed to evolve to fit into new genres and some only did a few songs that would be called in the new style and basically were still who they were in the past. Some were lucky and became so famous to gain great song writers who would work for them.
By the 90s the music was falling apart and since the beginning of this new century it has gone to a place where one has to wonder if music will ever recover.
John Paul Jones is playing keyboard but with his feet he's playing the bass with pedals 4 master musicians that were the best at what they do Led Zeppelin, the greatest band to ever grace the stage... they were then ,they are today, and they will forever be tomorrow... timeless music that will still be played in the year 2121. I love watching your reacting to Led Zeppelin please do more since I've been Loving you 1973 Madison square garden live would be a good one but every song is a good song you can't go wrong with Led Zeppelin
I thought you were going to stay with his feet he was playing the cello
Greatest band to ever grace the stage? Hmmm. Zep were Awesome...but QUEEN I believe, hold that spot.
Rick, and IMO another aspect of what makes Led Zeppelin SO unique is that in the case of "Greatest Rock Drummer (or Lead Singer, Guitarist, Bassist) Ever" each of Zeppelin's formidable foursome is either at the top of their respective category, or in the top-5 of all-time greats. For example, I would comfortably bet my life that John Bonham will be rated the #1 rock drummer ever in the majority of legit rock publications/links. Jimmy Page has always been in the discussion of one of the top lead guitarists ever in rock history. Same with JPJ on the bass. And even Rolling Stone named Robert Plant the greatest front man in rock history.
It's all subjective, but I don't think there's ever been as all-around talented a rock band as Zeppelin (with all due respect to The Who).
Rick great observation, people don't realize how incredibly J P J was I didn't know how they were getting a bass sound on some songs live with him on the key boards, amazing
@Philosopher 007 Queen is great but Led Zeppelin's music is high level!
Never before has a band sounded this way and we will never have it again. Masterclass at every part of the band. Icons forever.
I just love how you picked up on the drummer, John Bonham. Most people who get hooked on Zeppelin is because of the subliminal quality of Bonham’s drumming. He was quite a rare gem! It was very sad when he died. But his son has carried John’s legacy playing in reunion concerts.
The greatest band ever in my opinion
not even a discussion. apart from maybe Pink Floyd.
@@henryviii6341 Definitely put Pink Floyd up there but LZ are more of blues rock influenced band and Pink Floyd are more experimental psychedelic form of music that are in a league all their own
Yeah I believe the top three bands of all time are Pink Floyd, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. But Led Zeppelin are the best rock band
@@DJ-ce3hq The Rolling Stones are better than The Beatles.
@@YoungKantiannah not even close
The fact that they can perform this song live at such a high level is just remarkable.
Hard to find a single act today that can play accurately live like this.
Four extremely talented musicians that played off each other so well. Page's guitar and Plant's voice harmonize beautifully. One of the best bands ever.
I wanted to mention that during live concerts folks held up lit cigarette lighters (hand held butane) to show approval of the band and to ask for an encore after the last (supposed) song.
'That' drummer is no other than John Bonham. He's regularly cited as the greatest rock drummer of all time. John Bonham was an absolute beast on the drums and his sad and untimely death in 1980 was the reason the remaining members of LZ disbanded. Bonham's son, Jason, did his daddy proud with his performances at Celebration Day in 2007 and at the Kennedy Centre Honors in 2012. RIP Bonzo.
Bonham is great. Him and kieth moon , niel peart are the greats.
@@psilocin7268 I think that Ginger Baker could be put up there also.
@@davidgibson9405 and Dave Grohl
Keith Moon, of the Who, chosen as the best drummer in history, according to 'Q' magazine,
I think Neil Peart is probably the greatest rock drummer of all time, but that's just my personal opinion. Objectively, it could be Bonham. They were both incredibly talented and really produced music that hasn't been surpassed all these years later.
Everyone in this band is a shining diamond, every single person.
Led Zeppelin are the greatest band ever. All their songs are worth listening to. This concert was fantastic as I was there. All these years later still love listening to them.
Powerful and perfect!
John Paul Jones was playing the bass, while he was playing the D-3 Hammond organ. He had four bass pedals he played with his feet, while he was playing the Keys. 👍😎
Tremendous respect for JPJ - greatest composer, instrumentalist of all time
In this particular concert he’s playing a Yamaha GX-1, which was a cutting edge for 1979 analog organ with digital synth combination. These are super rare and super duper valuable, today one like he used in this show is worth around $60,000!
You can close your eyes! That shows you're getting zeppelnized! This song takes you on a journey with Jimmy pages hypnotic guitar riff along with John Bonham's drums!
There is no problem with closing your eyes with the music it’s your reaction to it and if that’s how you feel and what you do in the moment then just let it happen. It is a personal experience for everyone don’t let anyone dictate how you enjoy music
62 years young now. When I heard this the first time as a young teen Bonzo's thunderous beat grabbed my attention. His son Jason brought him back to life in the Celebration Day concert!
It’s great seeing young people experiencing LZ for the first time. You REALLY should do more of their music. They are the greatest band ever. Four incredible musicians all together at the same time… magic
Nope...just the 4 of them! Always amazing...greatest band in history!
The greatest drummer ever in ROCK history, John Bonham R.I.P! Grüße aus München, Bisscute!
Very smart observation. There is no one making music like this anymore. The musicianship is spectacular across the board. In particular this song, it's so intimidating in so many ways.
Led Zeppelin at their finest. They were the stuff of legends because they were legendary.
Remember...pure talent, no auto tune! 70 years old and they are as fresh to me, as the first time I heard them when I was 18. They will always be the GOATS of all time!
17 years old 1969. They fricking blew my mind . Still listen to them daily. There music will live on well past me. ✌
Zeppelin definitely "takes you there."
This band & these songs are going to be there for generations to come, they are just godly❤
Timeless indeed ❤
Your so cute love your enthusiasm. More Zeppelin. You need to check out the 02 Arena performance when they did a one time reunion show.with Jason Bonham playing drums
I was gonna suggest the same thing.
YOU'RE, not, your so cute.
I’m 16 and I’ve been a Zep fan for 10 years. In September I went to see Robert Plant live and it was marvellous! It makes you feel really excited when you see this man come up on stage knowing that he’s the founder of classic rock, hard rock and heavy metal, and he’s right in front of you singing Gallows Pole, The Rain Song and other classics!
I can't add much to what's already been said. The greatest rock band of all time in my opinion, and with Kashmir there are not enough superlatives. JP and Jimmy are just fantastic, John Henry is simply the GOAT, but has there ever been another front man with the voice and charisma of Robert Plant. A simply amazing combination.
It’s great that you’re not afraid to mention how “sexy” their music is. The “nice belt” comment in Stairway and the “take me there” comments were really good.
I grew up pre-internet, right on the cusp, and it was common in your free time to sit and listen to Side 1 and Side 2 of an album with your eyes closed. Just listening. Rush is another band, of 3 members, who deliver a very full sound.
Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band of all time and this is their best song
My favorite drummer n bassist!
One of the most iconic drummers creating some of the most iconic, instantly recognizable beats... combined with one of the most iconic guitarists, creating some of the most iconic, instantly recognizable riffs... combined with one of the most iconic voices of all time = some of the most iconic songs of all time. This song is a mood, a vibe and takes me to another place even though I don't use drugs. lol
Biss. That absolutely makes sense....but then I used to have mild synestesia and when I closed my eyes to music I found powerful I would see colors dancing in front of me...
Great reaction. The drummer is indeed considered one of the best EVER . Mind you the others aren't too bad either 😅. So much emotion and drama in their music. Touches the soul 🤘
Led Zeppelin and its four members were and still are the very best at what they do. Zep process that rare ability to paint the listener a picture and like Robert Plant says take you there much like an actual artist does with their canvass!. Zep were born in the same year i was born and i love the fact that they are still relavant today and are appreciated by young members of our world today. Keep on rocking and remember it doesn't get any better than Led Zeppelin 🤟
I close my eyes when I hear great music!
Hey (Ms-Eastern-European-country-that-I-don't-know-of) lady, once again you came across one of the biggest reasons why Zeppelin will always be one of THE titans of rock music: they LOVED playing together. Robert Plant once said, "We really get off playing together" and it was so evident when they played. IMO, I don't know that there has ever been as close-nit a band as Zeppelin. And that's also why when the man (John "Bonzo" Bonham) most often called THE greatest rock drummer ever suddenly died at the young age of 32, Zeppelin died too.
Bonzo was no stranger to drinking, but the sad part of what almost certainly contributed to Bonham's premature death is Bonzo LOVED, LOVED, LOVED his wife, children and the farm they owned in the English countryside, and he grew increasingly frustrated and lonely at being on the road for LOOOONG stretches with the most popular band in the world at the time, so he wouldn't see his wife & kids for months on end. So then he increasingly turned to drinking, and as most his friends noted, Bonzo was a sweetheart of a guy, but he became another person, a wild man, sometimes even VERY nasty (out of frustration and hurting from not being with the family). And that one fateful night, Bonzo had been drinking all day, got VERY shitfaced, and because of HOW drunk he was, he fell asleep on his back, and drowned in his own vomit.
Interesting that you point out the drummer here John Bonham. The lead guitar is Jimmy Page. Fun fact, Jimmy Page went backstage at a Band Maid concert because he was so impressed with the drummer Akane Hirose and wanted to meet her. The greatest band of my youth meeting my favorite current band.
You feel the music. It's yours for that moment, eyes open or closed...
how do they stay in such perfect timing with the all the added vocals?
Hello young lady. This by far has to be my favorite Zeppelin song.
I was in high school when this album came out in 1975, had to save up my money to buy it because at $13, for a double album, it was tough on a teenagers bank account.
If you want more of John Bonham, the drummer, check out "Moby Dick" from their 1973 concert at Madison Square Garden.
Actually the bass player John Paul Jones was playing the Melotron, he put out those Middle Eastern tones all the while playing bass with his feet.
The drummer does stand out. Great reaction!
Great reaction. Try their song, "Since I've been loving you"
Yes studio versikn of that is a must
You can show off when you know you're in the greatest band.
The Mother of all Rock and Roll bands !!! can't go wrong !!!
Exactly! And the father is the Rolling Stones.
Led Zeppelin was their own genre and it can't be duplicated
I remember this song 'showing up' on Fast Times at Ridgemont High; emphasis on 'high.' lol
Listen to the studio recording of this song with your headphones for an amazing experience.
Every Led Zeppelin song have story behind and Kashmir is one of them, all the gesture from Robert Plant is explaining the stories . He's stories tellers.
Zeppelin es lo más grande de todos los tiempo no hay análisis para ellos están por sobre todo
Kashmir was based on Ravel's Bolero being a music teacher you might of heard it? Led Zeppelin never made the same album twice, not since their first album dropped in 1969. You should check that out sometime. Now the sad fact; This concert was the last one that their drummer John Bonham had played before his untimely death September 25 1980.
BONHAM - My God. That riff at 13:51. Soul Crushing.
I think the word you were looking for at the 5:45 mark is soul. And you are absolutely right, performers now days don't put the same soul in their music.
It’s called talent and also good taste
❤❤ Bisscute.👏👏👏
You've heard it before. It's one of the most well known rock riffs of all time.......
One of the greatest Rock bands to ever walk the Earth!
hi bisscute the lead singer rob plant lives 2 miles from were i live in england he is so down to earth a lovely guy will see him strolling around the local town kidderminster worc,s allways got time to talk to him no big headedness with him the drummer sadly has passed but is buried about 4 miles from his local town kidderminster he was a wild man his son jason has played drums many times with led zepplin he is a chip off the old block from his dad he is a brilliant drummer too
You have a keen ear for music and a capturing method of expression! What an epic reaction! I’ve got to see you do Since I’ve Been Loving You, live at Madison Square Garden! PLEASE!!!!!
this is awesome video but to have gone to Led Zep concert it was an overwhelming overpowering experience. You could feel the music and the power of it vibrating you to your soul
Physical Graffiti was a phenomenal album!!❤❤
Every member of the band is considered an all-time great at their particular function within the band; however, in my opinion John Bonham - the drummer - takes their sound to another level. Its impossible to sound bad as a band within as your drummer
Their music is timeless!!
Like your take, once again, thanks!
Thank you
Love your reactions 🤙🏼
Robert Plant has aged very gracefully
Check out his appearance on Jay Leno, or with his current musical partner Alison Krause....( lucky girl )
Gone Gone Gone ....
He’s still got it 😉🤙🏼🌺🤙🏼
Hey Miss Biss 4 members Robert plant singer, Jimmy page guitar, John Paul Jones, John bottom ,drums❤❤❤❤ RIP John bottom 💛💛💛😭😢🎉😂❤❤❤❤
You may have heard the guitar riff in the movie Godzilla. Puff Daddy used it for the song "Come With Me" from the soundtrack.
The best band ever. One of their very best epics. Forever rock on with them, into infinity.
For something now that is great rock in its own right, trying Lzzy Hale and her crack band, Halestorm. Lzzy is a huge Zeppelin and Sabbath fan so plus her own brew of classic hard rock and heavy metal But like the great bands of yesterday, they have a varied catalog and also came do great ballads and scorching rockers. Try Daughters of Darkness, Rock Show and I Miss the Misery. Enjoy! 🎵
You should see the Celebration Day version... or even better... the No Quarter: Unledded/MTV version... Amazing!
Kashmir is the bands magnum opus, it’s literally what separates them from every band in earth. Mind you zeppelin is a band with 3-4 Magnum Opus tracks but this is their greatest creation. In terms of composition and technical musicality.
Many a band has tried to emulate Led Zeppelin, none have so far. Being "unique" was their gift. A gift that they often displayed.
Good one biscuit, keep up the good reactions
The best band of ever. ❤🩹
Hammer of the Gods, Love
You shut your eyes when ever you want! 😘
Kudos young lady ,Talent, greatest musicians to ever grace a stage .
Knebworth. Love ❤️ going to that venue. the best of the best rock festivals. seen so many Bands playing epic sets there.
Close your eyes as often as you want. That's a silly criticism. Led Zeppelin is amazing and they deserve your full attention.
WHOLE LOTTA LOVE by Led Zeppelin is excellent. Also, COMFORTABLY NUMB LIVE by Pink Floyd at the PULSE CONCERT (1994). Both are definitely worth your time.
You might have heard that main "riff" from song Come With Me with Puff Daddy from Godzilla 1998 soundtrack :)
Bisscute you right this guy can sing he is a legend Robert Plant
I think this is my favorite song from Led Zeppelin. It is complex, has great rhythm and then there is Robert Plant. Thank you!
nice to see someone who "gets" this performance.
Great reaction! John Henry Bonham. Greatest rock drummer ever. In the the greatest rock band ever. Quite the distinction, aye?
these guys invented swagger on stage. they just don't gift 2 f's.. so good and masterful at their craft.
Makes total sense to close your eyes while listening to music. Whoever told you to keep your eyes open is an idiot. It's YOUR channel. Be yourself and you will have millions of followers in no time. Auf Wiedersehen ❤❤🇩🇪🇺🇸
The Drummer is the one and only John (Bonzo) Bonham he was the King. Zep fans know he was the Driving Force of Led Zeppelin....The GOATS. By the way, you are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
It seems like just a few months ago she had 700 subscribers and now it's up over 32,000! You go, girl! ;-)
@ 2:16 The best comment on a Zep reaction I've read in a long time :
John (Bonzo) Bohnam was one of the best drummers in rock n roll history. We lost him way to early. RIP.
Thanks, lovely reaction video as always. My favorite version of this song, which I highly recommend to you, is the MTV unplugged version from 1994 ("Jimmy Page & Robert Plant - Kashmir [HD] with Egyptian Orchestra").
Hi beauty!! You really know how to appreciate older music...You should react to Soul Sacrifice from SANTANA in the famous 1969 Woodstock concert!!.Greetings from Juárez México!!.
If you like the drummer, check out the live version of 'Moby Dick.' It's an instrumental song and he does a long solo.
You should do the Kennedy center honors Led Zepplin with Johns son Jason Bonham on the drums and yes he can play.
Great Reaction Beautiful young lady!!!😎🤘❤🔥🎸🎧🎙
I fell in love with this girl, she really feels the music ❤
You seriously need to go buy every zeppelin album ever made, there all KICK ASS!!! Keep on rocking girlfriend!
Rubbish English much?
In classic rock ...each track is a journey...not a mere song
Band's single best song.
They were 4 kings who walked the earth with us. We were blessed to have them
