Absolutely loved your straightforward approach in terms of belting out information that matter the most when considering the Conti GT 650 as a prospective purchase. Data and details when combined with a soothing story telling approach only makes you worthy of praises and respect for all the time and hardwork.

Best review I've seen yet for the GT650.
I have an Interceptor 650 bought in march 2020. I have a daily commute of around 60-70 kms. Mostly Highways. Amazing bike for these conditions. Just a few tweaks and you're ready to go for a long trip: A plusher seat, handlebar raisers(aftermarket) and panniers/saddlebags. And yous should be aware that being spoke rimmed, the tires have tubes. So, if possible, learn to fix a puncture or try one of those aftermarket tubeless conversion kits just for your peace of mind. You do get 1 year of RE Road side assistance free with the bike. But, I've heard that they take a long time to arrive. Considering these issues, would I buy this bike again? In a heartbeat because of that engine. It won't give you any trouble except when you want it to and that lovely crackle and pop sound when it gets going. As the guy in the video said, people look at it a lot wherever you go. Till now, I haven't been for a long trip with it yet. But, will do it as soon as lockdown is lifted.

Clarification: All Royal Enfield bikes are made in India. The 650 was developed and designed in UK but made in India. To best of our knowledge RE doesn’t have any factory outside India, only an R&D centre in UK.
@HopShot this was a clarification to a comment which said 650 was built in UK, also had couple of DMs asking this...

As an *RE* owner this is my Dream Bike *Continental GT 650* ...
I'm able to buy ANY motorcycle I want but... I bought the interceptor based on it's reported qualities and because it's the best looking thing I've ever seen. Styling perfection. The only downside is what I call the 50 miles duration seat.
That is true Burt, the seat on the Interceptor is even worse than the one on GT. Although we found GT also requires a seat upgrade for longer rides.
@@MotoringPulse but when I hear people of India comment they say it's comfortable. This makes me think people of India are what we call "hard ass" or tough guys.
Please take this as a compliment.
Hahaha... sure some people might have a different perspective but we have few friends in our circle with 650 and everyone agrees that standard seat is not good.

Continental 650 is more appealing and good looking than the interceptor 650, what I hate about the RE650 Twins are the too wide and strange looking exhausts.

Nice review, thank you. For the money it is a best value bike here in US only $6000. I am still trying to decide between Interceptor and GT model....tough choice. GT looks much more sexier but riding position a little too aggressive and might not be comfy for longer rides.

Royal Enfield is making some great bikes at the moment.Maybe other manufacturers would do well stripping all the complication out of their machines and sell a well sorted bike at a decent price like they do.R.E. deserves all the sucess it has worked so hard to achieve.

Very neat! And you are bang on the point of RE successfully targeting a new customer base! A question, could we have the link to those front suspension reflectors? We barely see them in the Indian market.
These reflectors were bought from Triumph showroom but we think now RE is selling the 650 with these so you should be able to get from RE also.

Hi Dinesh, if you already have lower back issues, GT will not suite you. Try Interceptor, it has a more upright stance.
