Kalandra is awesome. Really cool mix of Nordic folk, indie, and progressive rock, and that gorgeous voice. They've also delved into soundtrack work. You really can't go wrong with any of it. Hope to see more reactions to them. This band was love at first listen for me and I immediately devoured everything I could find. They have some incredible music videos. Borders, Slow Motion (Live at Gildehalen), Lullaby (Live at Storas), Ensom (acoustic), Grizzly Man, and their unbelievable cover of Wardruna's Helvegen are all worth a reaction. This band deserves to be way more known than they are.
Kalandra got a lot of progheads among their fans. They are actually suporting the metal prog band Leprous on tour at the moment. If you like Elp there is a good chance you like Leprous. Check out running low the official video or Five Rooms by another Norwegian Prog band :Wobbler. Wobbler is retro prog in a good way. Sound like the clasic Prog Band from the 70s 👌
Great first time reaction. Absolute must listens are their awesome cover of Wardruna/Aurora’s ‘Helvegen’, ‘Slow Motion (Live from Gildehallen)’, ‘Borders’ and the insanely beautiful ‘Rockettothesky - Grizzly Man (Kalandra cover)’.

Just subscribed, Seeing you like Aurora and this style of music, you should watch "Wardruna" featuring Aurora singing "Helvegen", another great Nordic band but return to this bands cover of it which uses less traditional instrumentation and is really great! Kalandra is one of my favorites.
The number one reason I watch reaction videos is to find new music, and this certainly did not disappoint. Great reaction and I'm certainly looking forward to digging deeper into this artist. I definitely think you should add Aurora - It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current) to your list. That is a wonderfully intimate and haunting performance. Cheers!

So many people recommend Brave New World from Kalandra, which I love too, but their music videos for Borders and Waiting Game are some of the most intense and creative music videos ever, and the music is incredible, especially Borders! You should check that out!
