I've been helping and reaching my fellow Filipinos for more than a decade, since 2006, but without recording it on film.
I just decided to film the activities we do in 2015 to spread awareness.
This time guys: I need your help. I need your helping hands to give joy to Filipino families, one at a time.
How it works:
Your contribution goes straight to the individual/family we reach/help.
After we reached/helped 1 individual/family: We then move on to help another.
Our objective is to reach 1 economically poor individual/family, one at a time.
Important notes:
1. I personally don't receive/get/take/pocket any amount of financial contributions from you guys.
Your contributions go straight to the families we reach and to other expenses.
2. I do not publish on youtube the stories of the families we reach w/o a signed release agreement and parental/guardian consent.
The release agreement gives me a permission to publish their stories on youtube.
3. Business, personal and GoFundMe fundraiser accounts: All the funds, contributions, sources of income and other monetary sources that go into my accounts are being reported to the taxman. My bank also reports to the taxman every year, by the end of the year, FYI.
There's a Certified Public Accountant who does the accounting and auditing of my accounts.
The Certified Public Accountant reports to the taxman.
4. You don't need to open and register a charitable organization/foundation/institution to give help to people in the Philippines.
Reaching and giving help to people in the Philippines is not illegal.
There's no law that states, that you need to open and register a charitable organization/foundation/institution first, before you are able to give help to people legally.
5. GoFundMe checks the fundraiser account from time to time.
They sometimes ask for verification and validation.
The reason why I upload films/videos about poverty in the Philippines is to spread social awareness.
To combat economic inequality, social injustice, oppression, repression, abuse and exploitation:
1st: We have to be aware.
2nd: We should pay attention.
3rd: We are ought to do something about it.
We as Filipinos and citizens of this planet should not turn a blind eye, not to play deaf and not to pretend mute.
We as human beings have a responsibility to give care and to show compassion to others.
We as citizens have a great responsibility to safeguard our ball of genuine democracy.
We as citizens have a responsibility to fight tyranny and corruption.
A documentary film/video like this one is very important, because it opens our eyes to the unjust societal reality.
How could we turn a blind eye on social injustice and huge economic inequality?

My wife's mother had a life exactly like this woman... raised 16(!!!) children, husband was a grave-digger/fisherman/odd-jobs... She sacrificed everything for her kids. Luckily, none of them needed to be given up. Most did not finish even grade 4 in school. My wife was the only one out of all to go to college because she sought a way out of poverty and worked as a live-in maid at a young age. Since we were married (21 years), we made it a priority to help her siblings to get all of their kids to school and even college for those children that are high-achievers. A few have been able to go abroad to work and there are some graduating soon as nurses, etc. I share this because even as a foreigner not from your country, I am committed to my wife and her family... like ANY husband should be (whether Filipino or not). I am not looking for acknowledgement or accolades. I am just stating that even though her father was really not in the picture much, she was determined to get out of that situation... That determination is what makes the difference for those in poverty to break the cycle!

@@lucianaeloy5898 I also help a Filipino family when I can, I won't go into details because it's very personal for me. I'm from Brazil, and I've been following Mark for a few years, I've cried a lot with the stories shown on the channel, I'm happy to know that there are Brazilian women who know Mark's work, I hope you Luciana help spread awareness and raise awareness in society about the problems of inequality social in the Philippines.
Brazil also has its problems but there are countries that suffer much more so the Philippines is a priority for me.
cat is happy and healthy not tied up..Has access to water and if needed could live off land ..it is a beautiful cat and i’m not a cat lover or even like lol..i love dogs,i love this family

Di ko maabot ang pag- iisip ng mga magulang na kayang mag- anak ng marami pero di kayang papag- aralin cla… ano un, bahala na ang bukas…. Kawawa kc sa huli ang mga anak kpag di nakapag- aral o di nakapagtapos ng pag-aaral, hirap din ang dadanasin hanggang sa mga anak. Sana makapag- isip naman ang mga magulang na ganito…😒🥲

It's bad enough Mark disrespects them with nasty comments about their work for HIS channel..... I have nothing but respect for them and its not right how he treats them. Hi Mark- advise lang for your channel, mas madaming donations and viewers sana kung iibahin yung concept ng program, also kung magretire na yung group nila Ceasar since mukang wala naman sila pakeelam sa mga sinasabe mo sakanila na dapat nila gawin..nanoticed ko na bumaba ang viewers and donations mo just because hindi marurunong yung mga host mo, much better to find a new people to handle your channel also to change the concept.
