Great day my dearies 😊 This walk is a walk around the city of Manila Philippines. You'll be seeing some part of the middle class up to a depressed area from Santa Ana to Pandacan Manila. However, the video shows just how you should stay positive in your life no matter what you are going through as you can see most of these people happy in their daily lives. As they say, Philippines is where the happiest people are 😊 enjoy the walk 😊

You definitely were impressive.
These "backstreets" and "slums" look safer and definitely cleaner than any US city. Respect to the people of Philippines for having such standards and mentality.
San Francisco is the only city on earth that publishes a "poop map" because of all the human feces in the streets.
Dude the us is in your head rent free compare it to another country
@antoniomenjivar6556 not really, having been a few times, it was shocking how behind Europe it was in all aspects
@@andrewlancefield3730 Europe behind? European's do everything with more, class, functional and attractive design, ecological concern, quality, and so much more. Everything from the food and drink, cool architecture, health care, landscapes, history, is simply done to a higher standard than some other countries.
@@AB..__.. I have visited many different countries and I assure you that you are mistaken. Food and drink industry has lead to growing fat and obesity numbers, architecture is definitely more futuristic and modern in Asian countries like Singapore or Korea. History is also not the strongest point, with all the colonization and slavery and all. And definitely Europe is not the safest. Also, there is the immigration problem that governments are not being able to solve..
I love seeing all the kids running around playing. It’s like one big family.
If that happen once in a while sure. Everysingle day noise polution. You will often cant think clearly 😂
I bet you do weirdo YT boy, I bet you do! That’s exactly why you weirdo white boys travel to the Philippines looking for kids.
The people I love the most is the Filipino people, a generous and classy people in their dealings... Greetings to you from the Kingdom of Jordan
I love it here in the Philippines. The people have a rough life, but they still stay happy and generous. They just go with the flow and nothing gets them down. I feel gratitude for the citizens accepting me being able to live in this beautiful part of the world. It reminds me of how it used to be in the USA in the 60's and 70's when everyone was always outside and doing things from sun up to sundown. It's not that way anymore.
No matter the surroundings, happy people, especially happy kids make life wonderful.

As a foreigner living here 9 years, I've often wanted to just do what you're doing and walk the small streets, go up some of the alley ways and just see the sites. Many have cautioned it is not safe, but one day, one day when I'm able, I am going to do just that! Good video. Not too far from the places I've driven by. I've lived in Sta. Mesa and now Mandaluyong.
Hi @Roy Martin
i think they are kind of right partly not 😅 but its most advisable for you to have a buddy with you. Most of the people are nice. Just dont mind the English of some people, especially the kids. They only say what they hear, not minding if its good or bad. Stay safe always!
Can you elaborate on that? I'm European and have never been in the Philippines but I could imagine to live there some day. Why is it dangerous?
@@user-dh1mu4xv3n Just as in other major cities in the world, there are simply places you don't go as a foreigner and if you're unable to speak the language. Impoverished communities see foreigners as potential money targets and in some communities kidnapping is prevalent. Tondo is considered the worse place in Metro Manila and although I have family living there, there are places I just would not go.
@@user-dh1mu4xv3n It's dangerous if you live in city because it is slumps and many people will jump on you cause you are foreign in them. Though there still a goodness for in Majority of filipino it is just they are opportunistic because again they are living in city slumps and they need to survive daily.
Here foreigners = Money
If you really want to retire in Philippines choose provinces or the rural area, Buy a Land build a small business or live with your pensions fund try to learn the language because the culture will follow. Filipinos in provinces will try to integrate their culture to you because we are hospitable.
Hope your dreams will come true before we became sri lanka 2.0

Fair enough about here.. you haven't seen the other places though; once beautiful rivers full of sewage and trash.. whole fields of trash dumps next to houses. Don't extrapolate from this vid..trust me lol
I love seeing my ppl. Im not afraid to represent the barangay. This is the truth. The people of the phillipines. So happy the basic vibe. And curious. Those buko juice stands are delicious and refreshing and the fried chicken shes making to in the street some of the most tasty delicious street foods. Its not perfect but its moving in the right direction. Far from a slum. Its not the richest but that's the barangay man. These ppl go to church and work neighborhood jobs. Its just super dense. More dense than tokyo. Not alot of room to build between mountains and sea on an island

No other place on earth has such heart in the face of such poverty. I spent a good 3 years in Cebu and I shall return to the phillipines to marry my girl. The slums and boarding houses aren't so bad. Considering how dirt cheap the rent is and how relatively safe the phillipines is it's a win win. I was 10 Times in the Philippines and lived a long time there, of course also in Manila. In filipino province its totaly different.
But the province life represent the true life in the Philippines, Manila is very different, alot of people who lived before in province, transfered to Manila from the whole filipino country and different cultures and local languages melt there together. People are more open minded there and not so conservative like in province. You get everything you like in Manila, there are so many big malls, Shops and International Restaurants like in every big City of the World.

Bitcoin investment is the beginning of something great. A currency without a government, something necessary and imperative.
Bitcoin is bringing a different revolution in the world economy. People who are optimistic investors earn consistently... Others will just sit and watch.
I can boldly say that Forex and crypto trading is one of the profitable money exchange services that elevates investors and their financial status...
Bitcoin is the best investment anyone could get into. As it could make you rich in a blink of an eye

Hi @Gary Reiner
glad you liked the video! 😊💗
Hi, I lived in the US for almost 10 years, in northern Jersey. Violence and crime were already present back then, but it was minimal compared to what I'm seeing today in the news. Really crazy stuff. I hope you guys can find a solution for that, whatever means necessary. Hard not to get into politics these days, it seems all pretty related. Eventually patience has to run out, for the sake of society.
@@a.c.4054 well it hasn’t gotten any better. I live in Pheonix which isn’t as bad as the north east, but not as safe as it was 50 years ago. You do what is necessary to stay safe these days.
My new favorite channel. There's a lot of walking tours, but I never saw one that slows or stops to see more. I love how you interact with the people too. You go Manila Girl!
Hi @Scotty Reiniger
glad you liked the videos! 😊💗
Thank You for showing different areas of the Philippines that are missing in many vlogs! Asia is very unique and diverse. Each nation has its own culture, diverse food and language. And finally, we should stay positive no matter the hardship as Lord created us. We are his creations and nothing is ours including our own body. Greetings from India!

Thanks for your video. I grew up there along Felix st. with my cousins who are living at a block between DeLas Alas & Amparo (the Limbo Family). Saw their residences which dates me back 1960s to 1980s. Many friends there in Kahilom and Barrio Kapampangan. Cheers
Hi @winstom rochel galang

The most beautiful slums I've ever seen
I've never traveled to the Philippines, but I love this country and the people of the Philippines!
Brody Delestre (Brazil, Rio de Janeiro)
The Philippines are really beautiful, and have some of the nicest people I've ever met in my life. Wholehearted, optimistic, enthusiastic , and humble.
I might have been lucky meeting people from there... I couldn't tell, but that's my experience.
One side of me deeply saddens because of their poor economy, but the other half believes it's partly because of it that they are like that. I had the same feeling with cubans too.
Very well said . They might be poor economically, but they R rich in humanity, community and life affirming exuberance. They R naturally positive and happy people. I'd rather be amongst people like that than the depressingly miserable and selfish people in the west.
Não diferente daqui do Rio de janeiro. Pessoas alegres.
I visited Metro Manilia & Makati in 2006. This was such a fun video to watch. Thank you for sharing!
