- After weeks and months of pouring foundations and laying concrete and terracotta blocks, we're ready for the roof on the pool house.
The challenge this week is working on very wobbly scaffolding.
We are very happy with our progress this week on our self build house in the beautiful South West France.
Thanks for following and please feel free to leave a comment.
Bye for now,
Mark & Cath
Looking great, good job
Thanks Teresa
I KNOWWWW I keep saying it but this was my favourite episode to date! Loved seeing more of the process, wine tasting and also the montage of the French countryside made me tear up 🥹 Can’t wait to be there 🩵🇫🇷
Thanks Sarah, you wait till next week, loads of drone action with the roof.
Can’t wait for you guys to be here 🥰
12:43 cathy was right 😂😂
She normally is 😂😂
Will be there in 3 weeks to show you how it’s done 😂😂😂
Can't wait for you to show me 😁
@@Wilsons_World 😂😂
Glad we have life insurance for Martin in place… 😂
@@user-rp5ri3wm4l He’ll be fine 🤔😂
Awesome video as ever and you have made me think about getting to a vineyard and buying some wine on bulk. Does it work out cheaper or does it just save you the disaster of running out?
Running out of wine Matt is a sin worthy of death🤔😂
It’s no cheaper, just good to have plenty in when guests arrive, nobody wants a dry house.
Next weeks episode is good, loads of drone action and the roof going on.
I promise to do the foam filling this week😂😂
How’s everything with your new project?
@@Wilsons_World We are at least 75% unpacked. We have more than enough rooms to live in, enough work needed to make it interesting, we are making friends in the town, the French learning is going OK, we have family coming to stay and we have wine......All in all, so far so good.
Cutting the stirrups in half is outrageous. You have compromised the structural integrity of your concrete beam considerably. A good example of why people with very limited construction knowledge should be allowed to build a structure like this.
Hi, Thanks for your comment, this lintel was as secondary lintel, over kill really. We have a structural engineer keeping his eye on what we are doing and he's happy with what we did.Evan though we cut the stirrups we still have 4x10mm reenforced rods running through this lintel.
You were so busy being outraged that you forgot to read your comment before you hit send. You typed "should be allowed" but you meant "shouldn't be allowed".
This is why people withy an over inflated ego and an insufficient grasp the English language should be allowed to comment on social media. Your not The Special One, you are a very naughty boy.
