So the ozone treatment kills the bacteria in the cavity, does it stop and arrest the decay ? In other words, after the ozone treatment, can the dentist just fill the cavity without drilling anything out ?
Um, I’m not sure how to be tactful when I say this, but ozone is NOT an antioxidant. In fact, it OXIDIZES everything and anything, which is why it makes such a great disinfectant. I’d remove that graphic or block that part out.
@@truenokill That's a false statement. Like she said, Ozone is unstable and the extra oxygen atom wants to bond with another atom; aka oxidize it. It's the complete opposite of an anti-oxidant; hence why it's bad.
Scott you ever hear someone say lemon is alkaline? Lol it is not onto itself. The body counteracts the acidity with an alkaline response. Same with echinacea as it is a harmful herb which induces the liver to produce massive white blood cells to fight infection. This is the best way to explain ozone as at the right amount induces the body to produce an anti oxidant effect to counteract. Do you understand now?
Katie Riviello, you are 100 percent correct. Ozone is a highly effective antioxidant. People should study it a little deeper and they will get past this wrong preconception that it is not or that it is dangerous. It has been being used effectively since the early 19th century.
I recently learned thru Bayside Dental in Rowlett, Texas that my gums contain huge amounts of amoebas. They want me to use metronidazole to eradicate them. I would rather not use that drug. The Mayo Clinic says that metronidazole can seriously damage eyesight, cause hallucinations, and cause seizures.
Sometimes its concerning to read about possible side effects but ultimately your medical doctor and dental provider are going to need to have those discussions with you about the risks and benefits and the best treatment to get your mouth healthy. Good luck!
If you live in the DFW look into Prime Integrative Dentistry in Flower Mound Texas. They have wonderful staff and skilled Dentist! They have such a holistic approach to treatments and ozone therapy is used there!
Great question! If ozone is inhaled by the patient or not properly suctioned with the HVE, the patient can end up wheezing/coughing. Vitamin C under the tongue will help reduce that effect.
The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) prohibits all medical uses of ozone "in any medical condition for which there is no proof of safety and effectiveness", stating "ozone is a toxic gas with no known useful medical application in specific, adjunctive, or preventive therapy. In order for ozone to be effective as a germicide, it must be present in a concentration far greater than that which can be safely tolerated by man and animals."

The graphic states that the benefit of ozone is anti-oxidant which is true. The extra oxygen molecule stimulates an anti-oxidant effect.

Also the ozone machine was invented by Nicola Tesla. You should read about it.

Good info… was that Aretha singin in the background?
Is this an alternative to root canals?
No. Nancy is not claiming this as an alternative to a root canal.

Then it means that it really is effective! I never will trust in the FDA
