13:00 magnus has been real quiet since cristian won this championship
Fabi's camera work and narration is giving relaxing wildlife documentary
Yess more unfiltered content from the boysss
You should make a video on how a high level competitive GM picks and utilizes a coach.
I have to imagine SGMs pick their coaches based on their specialty knowledge. People like Jan Gustafsson or Daniil Dubov probably won't ever be in contention for a championship, but their specialization in certain areas can be valuable. Plus, even if your seconds aren't as strong as you, it's nice having different viewpoints to inform your own approach.
That yelling in the background at 2:00 was like a cross between a bird and crazed drug addict. Love it.
Normal day in romania
I was expecting something dramatic, not just a dog barking
No matter the discipline, it's always so easy for me to forget how the players that aren't at the very top of the elite are still ridiculously strong
After a game at my club I sometimes don’t remember if I played as white or black. These guys are remembering “oh, you had a4 there, and then you can’t play bishop c6 because Nc6 and takes takes takes and you win a pawn.
Fabi is a pretty good camera man 👌 Thanks for the entertaining video guys, keep them coming 😁
Wow Chirila coming up with a new d5 pawn sac in the QID and it was engine approved! Accurate game, boys!
He mixed up the lines, I think.
Alpha Zero idea from the match vs SF8
This looks so fun! And to think I only need another 1700 elo to be competitive!
Uncle Christian still got it!
What does it take to be a super grandmaster's coach? A super super GM
I’d love to see an interview with your trainer where you guys discuss the practical issues of being trained by a weaker player. What does your trainer study and do that is of real value? Does the 120+ point difference even matter for the types of training?
Engines, bro.
I’ve always been intrigued by what a top player can learn from a coach. I’ve always assumed it was some psychology and some new ideas, since elite players practically play like engines.
Love the banter and dry wit.
Enjoyed hearing so many swifts during this video and your podcast.
You guyz should content like these or even vlogs
Fabi's camerawork was exquisite
Very high-quality games, great editing and also fun. Amazing content!
Cristian looks Jacked
I was impressed in the last pod when they talked through the police siren that never seemed to end. I was surprised it sounded like American sirens instead of British ones. But the birds are pretty noisy there too.
I'm pretty sure it sounded like Romanian.
Maybe your podcast buddy is truly good!!!!
Always wondered who trained the top of top players, like how can you be better than the top 3 in the world to coach them. Anyway I think it's more about experience.
Being higher rated doesn't mean that one is better in every aspect of the game.
Hans is watching!
2:00 somebody in Bucharest about to get something to eat... >D
I love that colorful blanket ;)
Add some trash talk in native language: italian for Fabi and russian for Greg with subs. It would be funny to watch.
Welcome to Romania! Daca am timp, vin sa iau un autograf de la voi!
Why does all the wildlife in romania sound like that
What repertoire? 😂🤣
Damn! I saw a4 in game 1!
***CAMERA MOTION SICKNESS ADVISORY*** 😜
Super!
Wait Romanian Christian is better than Fabi haha😂
Fabi will win this 100%
hashtag greg too
why didn't fabiano and christian play?
Mismatch?
Just wondering how can a lower rated player can coach a higher one?
I was imagining snow, lone cottage, Fabi chopping wood, jumping ropes, running uphill, then receiving hits in the stomach, while the coach shouts, "No pain ...".
hahahaha
At certain angles, I wouldn't be able to recognize it was Cristian. He almost looks like comedian, Matteo Lane, from those angles.
Hhhh great video thanks guys
Fabi's rating is not 2805, it is 2799.
It would've taken you a few seconds of research to stop you from posting BS.

Can you explain me how that works? How can Fabis trainer be 250lower rating, what can possibly player like this teach Fabi. I don’t mean to hate, just question which seriously interested me
It's the same reason why soccer teams, tennis players or gymnasts have coaches who may not be as good as they are. A super GM's coach doesn't come and show how to play chess better, but offers another perspective on his play, perhaps specializes in one area (a particular opening), can suggest things for the super GM to work on, scout upcoming opponents and come up with strategies, help prepare the player's opening repertoire, and so on.
"Iron sharpens iron" Trainers can still be good sparring partners, in addition to putting in work analyzing and preparing opening lines/ideas for their higher rated colleagues. Trainers can also find material/puzzles that would be beneficial for their colleagues to work on.
I think there is subtle distinction between a "trainer" and a traditional "coach", who would usually be the stronger player and instruct their "student" on how to do things

Why’d you delete my comment???
Do you really think they're on here randomly sniping users, rather than it being a platform bug?
