In my opinion itâll be better if you get the v2 just because you donât need to buy any upgrades to make the original max better
you will eventually need electronics tires and wheels , and body so just be happy with max put arms on and be done ppl were saying this same price as the max , that can't be possible unless they mark v1 down

This Maxx V2 is a good truck to buy for guys like me that skipped on the V1 Maxx. I think Iâll be getting it. I do love my Xmaxx. But itâs too big to run sometimes. I love Redfin what a cool little shop well stocked. Wish we had a local hobby shop. There is a huge one but itâs 4 hours away from me. I order online from them mostly. The stock V1 maxx needs the wide kit to make it drivable and stop it flipping over all the time - if you donât have a v1 this looks like a great option / alternative !

Looks good but the first version was epic as well. So for a few cm extra longer chassis, I am not convinced to buy the version 2. Still love the maxx though đ

You don't have to buy it. You can just upgrade your current version with the new parts. This is for people who don't already have a maxx.

To be honest, i like the V1 Maxx better, the wide maxx makes it look too wide, and the length of the V1 maxx is fine, and I also like the original body cover
Wider stance = better stability
Longer frame = better stability
Looks isn't everything and some people actually take their RCs to the max, so having a L/W advantage is always better.
Don't just try to justify having the V1 by knocking V2.

Well when u find out what the v1 takes to make a v2 I want know a inch longer it should jump and be a little more stable hopefully just a chassis and center drive shaft ! Looks good !! And yes I wanna see the serpent rippl!!
Upgrade path of supreme bashing On my Traxxas Maxx V1 I have made a lot of alterations⊠Lets begin I did wide Maxx kit it and I also got 10mm extensions all the way around to it is 20mm wider than the standard wide Maxx kit. I replaced the wheels with the Redcat Kaiju set, they are slightly larger than the stock Maxx v1 wheels but much much better traction and makes for better plush landings, I also went with one size smaller gear on the motor to account for the larger tires. I also replaced the front steering nuchals with the Traxxas Maxx V1 aluminum upgrade for smoother more rigid steering. I also replaced the stock steering servo with a smaller and 3 times stronger also faster really makes it respond much better. I replaced the front and rear diff gears with solid full lock Hot Racing gears to make it full 4x4 locked. I replaced the main spur gear with the Traxxas Maxx V1 upgrade steal gear from plastic also the steel velocity drive shafts and then again with the hot racing much beefier keyed steel drive shafts. I also did the spring upgrades to stiffen the shocks and replaced the shock oil with all 80 weight. I also locked the and upgraded the center front to rear diff with the aluminum housing and putty locked the diff. i also got rid of the crummy cooling fans and upgraded to 40mm fans and 3d printer adapters to bolt on the stock fan mounts significant cooling improvement. And of coarse shew glue and floating tape body reinforcement. So far my Maxx is so so much better than stock its not even recognizable in stability and performance vs the stock Maxx.
This was everything iv done so I don't think ill be replacing it any time soon. with over 600 USD in upgrades' Ugg I would love to get the V2 Maxx but need to get my moneys worth out of my first one.

Picked up the last in stock Maxx2 in the entire state of Utah yesterday đ„ Black/Red and it do be looking sexy!
Love my model mini maxx more that anything I have(even over my outcast 6s super built), planning on buying a second, now Traxxas come out with a v2, going to buy one after someone do a heavy durability test.
Kevin can you do super high jumps after the speed run, caz I want to see the durability on this v2, the worry I have for this v2 is the front bulkhead will crack easy and the new up long center driveshaft banding or many be the chassis break in two pieces.
I miss my mini maxx I had wide kit and tons of upgrades it was 6s with almost every upgrade you could do to it and I sold it. Iâve got a 6s kraton exb now but itâs not as tough as the maxx so if itâs the same price as the v1 Iâll be getting the v2 I plan on keeping it mostly stock besides maybe a servo and esc and maybe steel cvdâs.

"Only in the UK" isn't 100% accurate. It is Tyrus that is currently only in UK hobby shops...but, it IS available for pre-order in the U.S. directly from Traxxas, and it will soon be available in local U.S. bobby shops. As for 'when', that date still hasn't been released. What I suspect is that stock is already in LHSs, or on it's way to LHSs, and will become available "immediately" on the same date that Traxxas starts shipping the pre-orders.
As for cuddles to the vehicle, I'm guessing (as with the 4Tec 3.0 vs 4Tec 2.0), the biggest change is the chassis pan, with the V2 using the same front & rear sub-assemblies. That means (again, as with the 4Tec 3.0) that a 550 length motor should easily fit.

Going to get a maxx v2 next year. Decided between a v2 and a revo 3.3.But electric is ultimately cleaner dont have to tune from time to time aswell.
