    For washing knits, anything non wool can be washed in the machine- I put mine in a garment bag. Then, either lay flat to dry or tumble on low. Wool stuff, I wash in the machine with only other wool stuff on the handwash setting then lay it flat to dry. I often wait until I have 3 or 4 sweaters (shawls, cowls, whatever) that need to be washed so I can do them all at once.

      Ohh ok this definitely makes me more confident to try throwing them in the washer! Thank you! ☺️🥰

    If you want a slouchier neckline maybe just go to a larger needle for the ribbing? I do my hemline rib in a larger needle to prevent it cinching around my hips.

    Try searching for patterns with a "cowl" neckline, that might give you what you're looking for if you've not already found something (re: first sweater neckline preferences) 💕

    Fix for the neckline of the Lento...run some elastic into it to pull it in to where you like it. :)

    • @saoirsebrey
      @saoirsebrey  Před 7 měsíci

      I'm definitely gonna try that! I think I would get so much wear out of it if I liked the neckline better 😂

    thanks for sharing your makes, it was fun to see! I made the tolsta as well and I think my yarn choice was bad so I never wear mine either. I found the neckline suuuper wide on me as well, but I had chalked it up to my yarn choice. I'm keen to remake it in a different yarn and I think I'll do what you suggested with the smaller neckline. RE your sock stitch, is that where your magic loop started?

      Oooh let me know how your next Tolsta goes! If I make it again I'm gonna try that out too! :) Hmm it could have been! I think it was around my gusset decreases so that would have lined up with where I'm changing to the next needle for magic loop. Maybe I just didn't pull it tight enough, or maybe I was pulling it too tight 😅
