Very good discussion. Nonetheless also as a cardiologist I just found that the questions about intense exercise and potencial cardiac problems could be better explored. I do think that when we achieve extremes some people will tend to get problems. Maybe some of this athletes that get atrial fibrilation do have a genetic predisposition to arrhyitmia for example. And about atherosclerosis (coronary calcification) in some athetes I also think that despite they can compensate this find with better lipids and coagulation for example I don t think that it is normal. We just dont know yet why this happens and what is the exact mecanism.
