I am from Colombia (South America) we don't even have a "country music" culture or whatever, but damn... This dude, this dude, his folk music is amazing. I'd pay my last dime to see him performing. ♥
He really is incredible in person, he's everything you expect and more.
He is such a beautifully perfect representation of organic American music.

I hate how SG isn't hugely popular. I also love that SG isn't hugely popular and the torment fuels his artistic journey to keep churning out genuine quality music, in a world where that is so rare! He's just soo good...
I feel this so deep. I want more people to know him, because I want them to enjoy...so much about him. But also...yes, absolutely. He maeks such great music doing it this way and I don't want to lose that.
But secretly we want to keep him to ourselves!
I agree with all you guys for all the same reason. There's an intimacy to the music and the connection between Alejandro and his somewhat limited fan base.

Same, totaly loved his energy here! It was part of a 12 hour long livestream, and I made sure to record shakey's performance~
Saw him 3 years ago in a small sweaty club munich, Germany. Had a drummer with him. Played mostly electric. And boy did the two of them have fun. They went absolutely mental for two hours. - It was incredible. Still thankful for being able to witness something that great, live and up close

@@wellwellwell7868my pleasure. And quite unbelievable indeed. I nearly missed it myself back then. I had fallen into bit of a "shakey graves rabbit hole" back around 2016. In 2018 a friend of mine asked: "hey, isn't that your crazy guy...?" 🤣 So we went to see him - and albeit it wasn't her kind of music at all she was blown away by the performance and loved every minute.

Honestly, shakey comes from this kind of atmosphere, so it's not surprising he connected with this audience the way he did. And he may be from Austin, but his name literally comes from a "joke" at a music fest, so shakey and hippies have quite a connection
I usually don't like covers but the one from the Pixies is pretty damn good.

Hes got an amazing right hand and a way to play with chords. Going from minor to major flawlessly is amazing. This is organic music. Written with minimal regard towards the rules of music theory. Hes an animal. Amazing.

For real. There are some places in his tour this year that are allowing negative tests. However I’d have to take a day or two off of work to get a plane ticket. Just isn’t possible… Sucks big time….
