- ACTIVATE SUBTITLES! In this video I further reduced the volume of the testobject and used "Thermafil Training Blocs" to created a endodontic root canal modell. I glued them together facing each other with Clip Flow and filled the root canal space with phosphoric acid. Again, I used phosphoric acid as an endodontic pulp analog, just to clarify the action. This model is much more realistic, but still lacks clinical relevance. But still: it's fun to watch!! Enjoy!

So can we put a file or gutta-percha point or paper point in the canal and then hold it with a tweezer and put a scaler on the tweezer and this will activate the irrigation?
this is called dynamic agitation and its the least effective method

The first " Eddy" was not an Eddy, but the Endoactivator ( activate subtitles for details). Gentlewave is highly biased, and I have the gut feeling they are manipulating the result data ( they will not let any study be done OUTSIDE of there facility). Highly suspicious.
Ups, my mistake, the first is Endoactivator, second Peek Ultrasonic, third is PIPS LASER and the fourth is the real VDW Eddy. 😂
This is an awesome video! Since I am assuming you had to file canals beforehand, how did you get them to appear so transparent?
Marc, these „canals“ are prefabicated by Dentsply for Thermafil Obturation Training, you can get them directly from Dentsply!

There is no best one in clinical aspect, it's just a lab test showing the difference in action. If you take the price into consideration, the Laser is the worst, but here it looks like it works the best. If you have access to Airscalers, get the VDW Eddy. If even that is a problem, just use manual agitation with a fitted guttapercha cone, that works really good. I use the Eddy for cleaning and follow up with PIPS to have lots if cleaning solution volume reach down to the apex. Take care!

A cheaper LASER just for irrigation is in the making by a european company, prototype was finished this year and contracts with a big LASER company were signed - that are information I have. Price limit should be around €5000 maximum in my eyes, otherwise nobody will buy the equipment. Otherwise get a used ER: yag Laser from Ebay 😄...
