- It's the ultimate battle - The Helikon-Tex Trooper MKII vs the Blizzard jacket. Turns out there's practically identical. Other than some small differences the main one is the Blizzard jacket is made from both Stormstretch and Versastretch, where as the Trooper jacket MKII is made solely from Stormstretch

The biggest Jacket between the Trooper (MK1) and the Blizzard is the vertical horizontal back pocket (does the MK2 don't have a back pocket?) and the size cut. The Blizzards fits me well in "M" while I need the Trooper in "L". Thanks for the video and the comparison. Nice Instinct btw. I have it in the same color, awesome watch!

Yes, absolutely. Ranger Green is my favourite green colour. Way better than khaki and OD green. The Taiga green is very similar. Thanks for watching 🤜🤛
@@MoorlanderEDC I have to disagree. Ranger Green has more yellow/brown in the color mix, while Taiga Green tends more toward grey. Both are fine olive tones but Ranger Green is a bit brighter and overall better for rural concealment while Taiga Green works awesomely well in urban environments.

The blizzard is also lighter and cheaper. I don't know if Helikon is running out of ideas but they seem to have a lot of very similar products at the moment. Anyway great video thanks for posting.
Thanks buddy. Have you seen the recently released Tracer anorak? It's pretty much the Woodsman Anorak but with more tactical pockets. I think Helikon have a keep eye for making these slight alteration. From the production side it must be easier to reproduce a similar jacket as the blanks for cutting out the cloth are all there
@@MoorlanderEDC That is a fair point. I like the idea of a tactical anorak, I hope they offer it in a decent range of camo patterns.
Have you tried the Gunfighter? Ive just bought my 2nd after owning one for around 15 years. I absolutely love it, very versatile.

@@MoorlanderEDC I used to play airsoft all through the winter in cqb and woodland and it kept up no problem. I don't think I've ever felt too cold wearing a Gunfighter!
Thanks for this. I have my Blizzard jacket for more than 2 years and it is very good piece of gear. I do not see any reason to buy Trooper jacket if you have Blizzard.

Seems like neither of them has an inner lining?
Correct. There isn't any lining on either jacket. The outer material is the only shell there it. The large pockets are backed with a tough mesh which covers a large section on the front however it's definitely not a lining. 🤙

It's a very noisy jackets..!! Not recommended for Yowie hunting.
There's a Ninja Switch on the back that reduces sound output by 73.6% 😉
