this comment is very late and probably won't be answered, but if i can not find a solution, does that mean that v1 can not be a linear combination of v2,v3,etc? the question i am trying to solve says "check whether v1 is a linear combination of v2 and v3." the equations i get are A+B=2, and another one that says A+B=3. these cannot both be true so i think v1 is not a linear combination of v2 and v3?
