Don't blame Muricans or Canucks for their ignorance, in fact PRAISE Smii7y for knowing Uruguay is actually a country!!: They grow up learning VERY LITTLE geography, as it's not a requirement in their schools' curriculums...Their country's history is one of the mandatory subjects taught, along with maths and science....English is apparently also one of those tick-a-box classes...In their once a year geography class, The teacher opens a map of the world, grabs a stick and points: "This is America, this is Canada. There is a place in the world full of terrorists." and all of the students react the same way: "Yeah, that seems about right. Okay, lunch time!" If ANY student asks about the other big places on the map, they get sent to detention and counselling.
