  • Thank you to our patron Heidi for this fantastic choice. I mean who would have thought putting Dimash as the front man of a metal band would be the coolest thing ever? I give props to whoever came up with this lol this was amazing. It was so short though :( all of the cool instruments I dont know the names of too... I love those lol

When it comes to music, Dimash can do nearly anything. When you are feeling better you might want to experience this entire nearly four-hour Almaty concert a section at a time. You won't regret spending the time. Thousands of fans from over 70 countries made challenging trips to be there in September of 2022. Over my life I have witnessed hundreds of concerts, a few in person and many online, and this is by far the most spectacular one I have ever seen.

The amount of energy and his rockstar qualities blow your mind. You won't believe that if you only know the 10 most recommended songs of Dimash. Dimash is Dimash. He sings everything. Don't just go by that song which is very catchy even though it is a folk song. But if you want to learn different musical genres, different instruments, different voice registers, different vocal techniques, you will find everything with Dimash. Additionally, you will meet many musicians from all over the world, many composers, various events in different countries that you did not know about, various competitions in which Dimash was a juror. There is a lot of it and for a person who appreciates artistic richness, Dimash will be the perfect choice.

FYI this was the kick off concert for Dimash's Stranger World Tour concert series which is still ongoing. Approx. 35,000 fans from 68 countries around the world attended the Almaty concert. He went on to Armenia, Turkey, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Hungary and Istanbul. Next stop scheduled (so far) is Prague Czech Republic and Dusseldorf Germany then Singapore. We hope he will make it to the United States again.

Did you forget that he started in Dubai before Almatey. That was called the Stranger tour and I was there. I was also in Turkey last year and Budapest and Istanbul. I wish I could make the concerts later in this year but I really can’t ask my husband to take me to any more this year, He’s 82 and I’m 79. I can’t get enough of his beautiful voice and loving personality. But I am very content with CZcams and watching the reactors covering Dimash’s performances.

I think you might enjoy the vocalise(no lyrics) version of "Know"(aka. "Ascolta La Voce") from his Arnau Concert in Kiev.
It's improvised so no version turns out quite the same, and very different from what you've seen from him so far I think.
Ps. The whole Almaty concert is available for free on Dimash's yt channel, and it's really incredible.

What a great song. Love it. However, the lyrics can be a bit confusing as it is a traditional Kazakh type of music called Kui. In these folk songs, the Kazakh nomads used to express their daily life, such as misery, joy and freedom. The song is from the 19th century.
Thank you so much for reacting to this. By the way it was his band😊.

Thank you. Go to the dentist! It will only become more painful if you don't. I love Durdaraz! It is about a beautiful young girl serving tea and the male patrons getting all jealous. The speaker is comparing her to his betrothed and wishing that his betrothed was as beautiful. They argue about her serving tea.

Does anyone know if this reactor only reacts to Dimash by paid donations? I enjoyed this. P.S. - If the reactor reads his comments, this is a modern version of a traditional 17th Century Kazakh folk song, which is why the lyrics seem archaic. The backing band (and background singers) are Dimash's regular touring band. They are all exceptional musicians, and have independent careers when not working with Dimash.
