I see what you mean about the vocals. They do blend in. This is a great song. It is so beautiful. The instrumentation is fantastic. I would listen to more of their songs. Thanks for sharing... :-) You make me laugh......
Well, if you want something Insomnium Epic that isnt "short" ;), have a listen to Winters Gate! Its a whopping 40 minutes long. Or have a listen to my personal favourite: Lay of the Autumn, although you cant go wrong with any Insomnium song.
For me Insomnium, Wolfheart and Bloodred Hourglass are holy trinity on melodeath🤘
Insomnium is getting better and better with each release.

Love the review....agree that While We Sleep is one of the greatest songs of recent times....so epic, as you put it. Would love to hear your take on Rise To Fall, or possibly even Deadlock for a female vocal compliment to harsh vocals. Either way, always love your authentic thoughts on metal music!

Master song crafters of melodic death metal goodness. Honestly think this is one of the lesser great songs of the new album though (which speaks to the overall quality of the album). The Offering is my current favorite track.
That was pretty good. Vocals ok and instrumental very good. At some point give cosmograf a spin. More straight laced but great composition. One man band with guests. This year's album try godspeed for sharks. If not on here give him 10mins in your own time.
Not there best song but still it is Insomnium 😊 Bloodred hourglass and Mors principium est are in my opion 2 better finnish melodeath bands
