Wow, shocking you did this 5 years ago. I watch A LOT of review videos and not once seen this, not to mention I play a lot of Opeth videos. I wonder what kind of algorithm sucks that bad. Anyway, if you haven't already seen the Opeth video "Opeth - Cusp Of Eternity / Heir Apparent (from "Garden Of The Titans")" then I very highly suggest you check it out. It is two Opeth songs played back to back. The first song is all clean and absolutely beautiful, the second is the scene where hell enters left stage.

Vocally you would get used to it… this band drew a lot of inspiration from fall of the leafe - evanescent, everfading album. So i would like you to make a video about it. Maybe songs like celestial keeper, the garden by the shoreless sea, starfire, or self titled ending of the album evanescent, everfading. Very magical and mystical melodic folk mixed with black metal… you just gotta get used to the vocals… when you do, you even start to have preferences of growls or screams, wails, shouts, or everything in between. When listening to obsequiae or other bands from extreme metal category, more often than not the vocals are encompassing the rhythm aspect of the music. When you correlate the vocals with the music, you will start to like them

I've fallen in love with this song. The song feels a bit drawn out because it's very repetitive, however, it still rocks. I can't listen to this song and not headbang.

From the reaction, idk if the subgenre is one you'd enjoy binging for an hour + long jam session. Love that you gave it a listen though. This song's musicality among many others in the subgenre for me personally tells a story that words are truly incapable of telling in my opinion. Top Tier song selection👌

I think this song is about addiction, rehabilitation, and ultimately,...redemption. "You're already falling", he wants to give up and go get high. "Understand the voice within", that voice that you have to fight with in order to stay straight. "Each and every rising sun is greeted by a lonely, lonely one", for every one who rises up from the abyss that is addiction, another is falling in. "How many words have I got to say", and also "Won't you tell me again tonight?", seem like a twelve step program to me. (You are supposed to talk to the group about your addiction(s) and the pain you caused,...and suffered.) Also, the repetitiveness and the fact that it's "tonight", have some bearing due to the very nature of NA & AA meetings, the majority of which take place at night. "Can you hear the spirit calling?" Classic AA, more focus on spirituality than on a specific God. Believe me, been there, done that. Just my opinion of course. 🤔

You can call it a "super speed metal" band because it is a project involving members of two speed metal bands.
