for person who have an error in path.setText(filename);
just rename your jtextfield = path

Thanks for video great tutorial. The below code will allow us to get all the bytes we do not need to write for loop for this.
Path path = Paths.get(file.getAbsolutePath());
byte[]person_image = Files.readAllBytes(path);

How To Resize the image before inserting?
I can insert "filename" into mysql.But i want to extract the name of the image(extention) from the the path and insert into the database.that's where i'm getting trouble.Can u help me on this?

Save the previous image in a variable, delete the database entry and upload a new or the old picture in the database.
But you could also use the UPDATE-Statement from MySQL.
